Yunlan was awake earlier than usual today and left Wei asleep as he dressed and went down to the lounge to speak to Guard Li. They were trying to work out a plan of action against the gamer who would be targeting the guards with Chu at the museum, and sending Ava the poisoned chocolates. The only difference this time was that they knew, and were trying to change the outcome by saving their friend's lives.
Li suggested that he should take the day off from the university and be with the guards when the parcel arrived to stop them from opening it, but Yunlan disagreed. He explained that he would need to follow the same pattern as closely as possible and attend his classes but he could still faint and teleport to the museum at the right time. It's possible that the gamer had Li on his list but wasn't able to continue because he took ill and was removed from his class, therefore he would be watching him and the guard could see his point and agreed before they went for breakfast.
Ava was busy as usual enjoying her work, she loved cooking and had noticed the early birds coming into her kitchen.
"Good morning, did you fall out of bed or were you planning something special?" Ava said jokingly, but recognised the worried look on both their faces, problems she thought, but never commented.
"Morning Ava, my most favourite cook in the whole world. I'll be heading to work a little laterthis morning, so I can keep you company for a short while." Yunlan said as he glanced out of a window.
"Just your normal breakfast this morning?" She asked, and both Li and Yunlan nodded in silence.
Yeh, something's wrong, she thought and Yunlan is here for protection, he expects trouble but Shen Wei doesn't know about it otherwise it would have been him sitting there and not Guard Li. Then another thought occurred to her, why did Li stay overnight and not return to the museum after dinner? And for the first time in years, Ava felt afraid, they both expected something serious to happen and were here to prevent it, but her thoughts were interrupted.
"Morning Ava, just my normal this morning." Wei said as he entered the kitchen looking great, and he sat down beside Yunlan but was surprised to see Li here.
"Unusual to see you here for breakfast, is Guo Ying's cooking that bad?" Wei asked and watched as the guard became very flustered and couldn't answer without lying.
"I told him he could stay last night after he fell asleep in the lounge, we've got plenty of spare rooms and he'll be leaving for his classes soon." Yunlan lied more easily than the guard could, and reminded him to be careful.
"Remember Li, don't accept any gifts from your favourite student."
"Yes My Lord." and he bowed before he immediately teleported out of the kitchen looking relieved as he appeared upstairs before he left for the university.
