Chu took his car and left it in the tutors parking area which made Yunlan nervous in case he would be seen, and he put the cap on, pulling the skip low to hide his face as much as possible. Wei didn't drive, he walked to work, but Yunlan didn't know that and he was taking no chances. Chu had no idea why Yunlan wanted to come here today but he was willing to follow him and the first stop was the information office.
The three detectives approached the reception desk where Yunlan showed his identification to the older female secretary before he started asking questions
"How many classes are there this morning?" He asked softly as Chu and Daqing listened with curiosity.
"There are four: history, mathematics, computer programming and technology." The woman replied with a smile, she was talking to an attractive police officer who was very polite
"Do you have surveillance cameras in the classrooms?" Yunlan asked, hoping that if they did, it would make things easier for them.
"We have cameras in technology and computer programming because of the kind of equipment we use. It would cost too much to keep replacing stolen pieces." She explained as she continued to smile.
"May we take a look at those classes, if possible?" Yunlan asked and saw a slight hesitation in the woman's answer.
"You would have to ask security, he has access to the cameras and I don't know if he would allow you," She explained but Yunlan leaned forward on her desk and smiled into her face as he asked where the security office was. The secretary blushed and gave him directions and followed him with her eyes as he left her office.
Chu and Daqing had been ignored in the first office while Yunlan flirted with the secretary to find out what he needed to know and he pulled his cap down before he left the building heading towards the security centre. He stopped before he entered and spoke to both Chu and Daqing to explain why they had come.
"I'm not telepathic, but I can receive messages sometimes. In the office earlier, someone sent me a message. We're looking for an eighteen year old with a cap the same as this and he will be in one of the computer classes, unfortunately I don't know which one. He's marked with the sign and we need to find him before he goes home at lunchtime. And don't bother asking who the sender is because I won't reveal my source."
They both now understood Yunlan's behaviour and it made more sense to them, as they saw him switch to a more serious outlook. The security guard had been watching them on one of his screens waiting for them to enter, ready to defend his area from unknown visitors. Yunlan threw open the door and barged in as if he owned the place.
"Zhao Yunlan Jun, Independent Police Investigation Unit, could we see recordings of the two computer classes for today."
Yunlan held his identification card in front of the guard's face who read it very slowly. He took his time and read every word before he spoke.
