Yunlan didn't bring many things with him, he was used to travelling light and had never settled in a permanent home because he was often called to different areas of the country. So moving into a real house was a huge step for him, and he arrived early after spending the night in a local hotel. He had to ring the bell at the front door because he didn't have a key, and Ava the cook answered with the same attitude as she had shown yesterday.

"Good morning. When will your things be arriving?" She asked without a smile or any show of welcome.

"I've brought them with me Ava, and could I please have a cup of tea?" Yunlan smiled as he patted his backpack and cheerfully walked past the cook heading towards the kitchen, leaving her standing at the front door. This was going to be more difficult than he thought, as he watched the kettle being boiled, a mug was put down in front of him, and Ava sat across the table staring into his eyes, in silence with no emotion.

"No offence intended Ava but get it off your mind, what have I done to ruffle your feathers?" He asked her directly because this was the woman who was going to cook for him and if she wanted to, she could poison him every day and make his life a living hell.

Ava stared for a few minutes causing Yunlan to feel even more uncomfortable and then she smiled generously, which made him extremely nervous, maybe he was right about the poison.

"You're here to help Wei." She said as she brought out her best biscuit tin and offered them to Yunlan, who didn't know what to say, he wasn't supposed to tell anyone that he worked for the Enigma Room and he knew that he hadn't even hinted, but she knew.

"Ava, I'm an independent police investigator. I go where I'm needed and just now I've been sent here to the nearest office to help with the serial murders." Yunlan said while he took another biscuit and looked at Ava as he smiled.

"Yes indeed you are. But if you want to know anything, just ask, my boy." Ava said and she smiled while giving him a door key before he left the house in shock.

Yunlan felt slightly better as he went in the direction of the police station, this would be his other problem for today, and there was no way of knowing how it was going to work out. He entered the main building and walked towards the office where the team was based, some of whom he'd seen the day before, and he looked for a smaller room which would be Chu's. All eyes turned towards him and he felt very uncomfortable but kept on walking until he found the door he was looking for and tapped before he entered. Chu lifted his head to shout at the person who came in but froze, when he saw who was standing in front of him. Yunlan Jun stared at the detective's unexpected reaction and then glanced behind, thinking that it was because he hadn't closed the door and swung it over before he approached the nearest empty chair and sat down.
