The guards had transferred Wei to his own room where he would be more comfortable resting for a few days while Chu monitored his progress. He didn't have any complications afterwards because Wei was fit and healthy before the induced heart attack. The university had been informed of his illness and had gladly accepted the temporary lecturer who had taken his place.
Yunlan stayed off work and used his injury as an excuse to be with Wei who was confined to the mansion until he recovered, but there were one or two things worrying him as he sat in bed resting, the main one involved the guards. He didn't know if Guo Ying had informed them of the Spirit being missing and what would happen if Black Robe didn't come back. He could be sent to another host, though he didn't think it was likely while he was still alive, but he had disobeyed the Powers at Be, and he was worried.
Yunlan could tell when something was on Wei's mind just by looking at him, he was good at guessing what it was. There was no way of finding out why Black Robe was missing unless they asked direct questions, he thought as he approached the bed and sat on the side.
"Xiao Wei, I'm going to take you where you can find the answers to the questions running aroundin your head. It's not going to help you recover if you keep stressing over problems." and he slid up the bed to sit beside Wei and held him as he waited for him to close his eyes.
Yunlan had only managed to go to the Enigma Room once on his own and he wasn't sure if he could take Wei, so when he opened his eyes and the room was almost black, he convinced himself that he'd made a mistake, until Wei leapt off the bed and ran towards the Spirit who was still furious.
"My Lord Black, temper will get you nowhere." Wei said as the Spirit spun around and the room immediately lightened a few shades to grey.
"I am pleased to see you My Young Lord, are you well?" he asked in a more pleasant tone of voice from the angry booming one he'd been using since he was brought here.
"I'm alright My Lord Black, Chu is watching my progress." Wei replied.
"The inexperienced caretaker separated us when your heart stopped. He's new to the role andmade a huge mistake which I have been explaining to him since my arrival. I cannot return until your health improves, it would put you at risk and there is another risk. The killer who is looking for both of you. My presence here is a major drawback, I am not pleased."
Yunlan thought, that's putting it mildly, as he watched the walls darken in colour again and he pitied the person who'd made the mistake.
"My Lord Black, do you know if Wei can still see the sign of death on the victim's brow?" Yunlan asked and felt the temperature drop a degree.
"The caretaker has gone to ask them at my request and hasn't returned. I can't even guess. Theydidn't separate us as punishment, so they might have left that gift, but he did disobey them, so they could have taken it back, and until the fool returns, we won't know."
