Y/n's P.O.V
I've lost track of how long I've been in the Scroll of Memory already.I've been tearing my way through memory after memory in this accursed scroll.
Seeing memories I didn't want to see.
I have to find MK and tell him to stay away from Azure Lion. MK has been through so much, and he doesn't need more trauma for himself.
Every memory I tore through, I left a giant golden crack behind.
I can not count how many memories I have already been through.
Some bad, some good, and some I'd rather not see.
I have to find MK and fast. By now, the scrolls curse could've found him already.
I can't let him get hurt.
It hurts ne too much to see him in pain.
I've come to love this kid as more than just my student, but as my son.
I've lost too much to lose him as well.
That kid is far too important to me and every one of his friends. If anything happens to him, I won't be able to forgive myself.
I can't lose another child, not like I... like I did, Char. I have a feeling that everyone is going to know about him soon.
"Rah!" I tore through another memory, hoping to find MK, but he wasn't there.
"Are you kidding me?!" I shouted in frustration. "MK, where are you?!"
Please, I just need to find you, I just need to know you're alright, then I can figure out how to stop Azure Lion before he hurts him.
"MK, just give me a sign to find you." I told myself.
"Stop! Stop! Stop! Stop!" MK's voice echoes throughout the scroll.
I gasped. "Kid!"
______________________________________"Kid! Kid! Kid!" I busted through another chapter, seeing MK facing off against the scrolls curse while his form flickers from human to monkey.
I raved over to MK and grabbed the staff, reducing the curse to splatters.
"MK!" I wrapped my arms around MK.
"Monkey Queen?" MK gasps, hugging me too.
"Bud, I'm so glad you're okay. I'm so sorry I didn't find you in time, but the sooner we get out of here, the sooner we can sort this all out." I pulled away, brushing a stray tear off of MK's cheek.
MK's form status flickering uncontrollably back forth to Monkey and human. "I don't know what's happening to me."
I stood up. "Like I said, we can sort this all out when we get out of here, but right now, we gotta deal with the scrolls curse."
The scrolls curse turned into me. "Hey, nice of you to join us, bud. You know, none of this would have happened without you, right?"
"Yeah. And us too!" Mei and the others crash in. "Without us, you wouldn't be able to stop this thing. That's what you were saying, right?"
"Uh..." I let out a nervous chuckle. "Not really, but I love the attitude."
"The curse! Is it just me, or is it way scarier than it was before?" Tang freaks out.
"How did Azure say to defeat this thing again?" Pigsy spoke up.
I clenched my fists, snarling. "Azure Lion..."
"Say goodbye!" The curse said as it darkened everything.
"Wait, no! Hold on!" Mei shouted, but the curse had already split everyone from view.
"Where'd they go?" Tang's voice echoes out.
"Such pitiful creatures. Cowardly. Reckless. Monstrosities!" The curse bellows out all around us.
"MK, sweetie! Where are you?" I call out into the inky void.
"All doomed to play a role in tearing this world apart. To cause nothing but chaos and destruction." The curse kept saying.
"Enough!" I shouted angrily. "I've never let anybody dictate my destiny, not now, or ever! We may not be able to change who we were yesterday, or in a past life, or a hundred lifetimes ago. We have to live with the choices we made, no matter how bad they were. But what matters is the choices we make right now! We are the only ones who get to decide what to do with the power we have!"
The curse turned into me again, swinging around an inky version of the circlet, one of the very things that brought me pain. "Nice hero speech, bud, but I know better. Deep in your hearts, you don't believe a word of that, especially you."
My eyes widened as I remembered the pain the circlet brought me, including many other memories.
Char, my baby.
"Yeah, well, we're pretty good at fakin' it till we makin' it, so you better takin' it, son!" Mei spoke up.
"Yeah! I might be a coward, but we've faced scarier monsters than you!" Tang says.
"I won't lose anybody else ever again! And I'm not gonna let some curse bully me, my friends, or child a second longer!" I summoned my powers, along with everyone else.
Together, we broke the curses illusion, holding the curse in place.
The curse chuckles, looking at MK, who was struggling to hold his form together. "You can see it, can't you? This is your fate. Your friends will turn on you, seeing you for the monster you will become. They will destroy you, Harbinger of Chaos. It's just like the Lady Bone Demon said. Despite your efforts, all you'll ever do is cause pain and suffering."
"Stop talking! Get out of my head!" MK taps into his monkey form, and his powers, leaping up into the air, diving at the curse.
"Then prove us wrong." The curse said before MK disintegrates it, making it explode into a ball of light.
"He did it!" Mei cheers.
"That's my boy." Pigsy said as MK flickered out of his monkey form. "Now would be a good time to get out of here!"
"But how?!" Mei asks, but an opening appeared as Azure Lion stepped in.
"You." I glared at him, blocking his path between him and MK.
Azure sighs. "Me." He snapped his fingers, teleporting everyone, but me, out of the scroll.
I tried to hold onto MK, but he, along with everyone else, was already gone.
______________________________________MK's P.O.V
We were teleported out of the scroll, finding ourselves in a new area, but Monkey Queen wasn't there."Monkey Queen? Where are we?" I looked at Azure, who was holding the scroll with a menacing look on his face. "Azure? Where's Monkey Queen?"
A/n-Didn't expect two chapters in one day again? Some of you might, and some of you might not. I'm really excited for the chapter after the next one, because Macaque and MK will find out about baby Char.
Have a good day or night.
Next Up: The Brotherhood.
