MK's P.O.V
We were teleported out of the scroll, finding ourselves in a new area, but Monkey Queen wasn't there.
"Monkey Queen? Where are we?" I looked at Azure, who was holding the scroll with a menacing look on his face. "Azure? Where's Monkey Queen?"
"Explain yourself, Azure!" Mei growls as she and everyone else points their weapons at Azure Lion.
I looked at them. "What are you--."
"Azure's been lying to us, MK." Tang stops me.
"Um, maybe we should give Mr. Lion a chance to explain." Aamdy said nervously.
"I saw it! Here. Wherever this place is. Him. Plotting to take the Monkey Queen down. That was his plan all along. To trap Monkey Queen if she didn't marry him." Tang shutters in disgust for continuing. "He's planning something sinister and bad."
Azure Lion looked at Tang in surprise before turning his head away. "Hmm."
"See?! He's basically admitting it! And to think I modeled my brand new sword after yours! Gross!" Mei gags.
"It wasn't my intention to deceive you, but I knew you wouldn't understand. Sometimes, it's easier to ask for forgiveness, not permission." Azure Lion told us.
"Ooh, okay. Then I hope you won't be upset when I don't ask permission for this!" Mei lunged at Azure, but Azure stepped away, unleashing a valley of ink from the scroll.
Mei was about to strike Azure with her sword, but a light flashed from the scroll as a pair of golden wings blocked her attack.
"Greetings, little girl." A bird demon came out of the scroll, throwing Mei into a pillar.
"Mei!" I shouted for her.
"Hold on." Azure Lion tried to say.
"Mei!"
Everyone else went to attack, but Sandy pushed Tang out of the way at the sight of another weapon coming at them.
Pigsy crashed to the ground while Samdy tried to hold off the weapon being held by an elephant demon.
The bird demon pointed their ji at Mei and had their claw on Tang.
"No! Please, Azure." I begged as my form starts flickering again.
"If it isn't the Great Monk Táng Sanzang. You can not imagine how I've longed for this moment." The bird demon stared down at Tang.
"Peng, stop! This man isn't who you think." Azure stopped the bird demon.
Peng laughed and put away their wings. "Took you long enough, brother. I feel as though I've been trapped in that cursed thing for 1,000 years."
"How long has it been?" The elephant demon said, approaching Azure Lion.
"Oh, I don't know, truth be told. Yellowtusk, bring it in, old friend." Azure Lion said as he hugged Yellowtusk.
"Azure." Yellowtusk said as he looked at us.
Azure Lion looked at us with pity in his eyes. "MK, I'm sorry things got so out of hand. Let me introduce you to my brothers, The Golden Peng and Yellowtusk the Wise."
"So, this was all just some elaborate plot to break your friends out of prison or whatever that scroll is?" Tang said.
"But why not just tell us?!" I looked at him.
"He's a villain, MK. We never should have trusted him." Mei growls.
"Okay, okay. An explanation. I owe you that, at least. If you will allow me." Azure Lion unrolls the scroll, taking me and him into it.
