This woman has some animosity with my kurtas. I swear I will burn all of them with my own hands when I'll get home before she ruins them one by one.
"What am I supposed to wear now? I don't even have any clothes with me," I said getting frustrated and this lady standing in front of me just giggled shamelessly.
"Chacha ji," she shouted, and he came out running. "Chacha ji can you give him something to wear please?" She said to him and then gestured me to go along with him. I followed him inside the house and watched him lift up the cover of a metal chest and take out a loincloth.
"I don't have anything else that would fit you. I hope this is okay for you to wear," he said handing me the cloth and I took it.
"This should be enough chacha ji. Thank you," I said and moved towards one of the rooms to change. Taking all my clothes off, I tied the dhoti around my waist and came out to find Ketaki setting up food for everyone. Everyone was sitting in a line on the mat, and she was serving food to them. I went and sat in the line next to chacha ji crossing my legs and she placed a metal plate in front of me. After serving me food, she came and sat next to me with her plate.
We all ate in silence and her daadi advanced to her room after finishing up. Chacha ji finished up as well and cleaning his hands with a cloth he looked at Ketaki and said, "bachi don't forget to serve him milk before going to sleep."
He left from there leaving us two in the living room. She picked up all the plates from the ground and went to the back of her house to clean them.
Ketaki
I came out to the back and the night felt quieter than usual. After finishing cleaning up all the utensils, I came back inside to get some milk for him. He was standing by the window in the living room looking outside wearing only the dhoti. He had his hands crossed at the back that accentuated his muscles and I found myself being captivated by this sight. He might've felt my presence there, so he turned around, and I looked away moving towards the kitchen. Pouring some milk in a lota, I walked out of the kitchen and found him looking out the window again. I went to the back and sitting by the chulha, I scooped some hot ash out of it using a spatula which was still hot as I had recently cooked. Placing the lota filled with milk on the ash, I let it heat up. After some time, it warmed up and I picked up the hot metal lota using the end of my saree pallu. I then transferred the milk into a metal glass. As soon as I transferred it over, the glass heated up too, so I wrapped the pallu around it and carried it inside to him. He was still busy exploring the night sky, so I called him.
"Suniye," I said, and he turned around. I advanced the glass towards him and handed it to him. "Be careful its hot," I said, and he smiled taking it.
(Listen)
He lifted the glass up in the air and let it pour into his mouth from some distance. I kept watching him drink it down and his Adam's apple moved every time he gulped it down. Some of it flowed out of his mouth dripping down to from his chin to his neck and then chest. As he finished up, he handed me the glass and I looked at his skin that was shining covered in milk.
"What are you looking at?" He asked that made me lift my gaze up from his body to his face.
"Um your—the mess you made," I said getting my words together.
"Then clean it," he commanded curling his arms around me and pulling me close to himself. I took the end of my pallu and began patting the area around his mouth followed by his neck. I moved down to his chest and looked up at him whose gaze was fixated on me this entire time. I cleaned all of the milk from his skin while staring into his grey orbs finding it difficult to move my eyes away.
