I woke up to her sleeping peacefully on top of me. It was early in the morning and slight fog was lingering around. Birds were chirping announcing the arrival of first rays of the sun.
I had my arms wrapped around her while her head was resting on my chest. Her wavy hair covered her naked back and some strands even fell on her face. The white flowers had fallen from the tree that we were sleeping under getting stuck in her hair, just adding more grace to her locks. I gently pushed the hair strands off her face and tucked them behind her ear.
The shawl had fell off us during the night and was partially covering her legs. I pulled it up and covered her till shoulders. Her blouse was open and was just hanging over her shoulders keeping her covered at the front.
My eyes moved to the sky where I noticed Jabaaz and he landed on the ground at some distance from us. He began tip toeing towards us, and I placed my index finger on my lips instructing him to not make any shrieking sounds that would wake her up. He quietly sat on the grass that instant being considerate of her sleep.
I began plucking the flowers off her hair slowly and after every flower, I placed a light kiss on her crown. I picked off another flower from her hair and pecked her crown and repeated the same thing all over again until her hair was free from all the flowers. She moved in her sleep and snuggled in closer to my face. I rested my jaw over her head and covered her properly again.
"Move aside or I'll ruin your kurta again," she mumbled in her sleep, and I laughed internally. This woman won't spare my kurtas even in her sleep.
"If you'll ruin my kurta again then I'll punish you again like I did last night," I said in a low voice moving my fingers on her back underneath the shawl.
The morning dew slid down from the leaves above us and landed on her face making her wince in her sleep. I kept my hand in the air over her face to prevent anymore droplets from falling on her. She soon lifted her upper body up spreading her arms in the air and stretching. She yawned and laid back down on my chest adjusting the shawl back on without even glancing at me.
"I'm your husband not your mattress if you remember," I said, and she curled her arm around my torso.
"Shhh let me sleep, it's too early," she said putting her other hand over my mouth and covering it. I took her hand off my mouth and kissing her fingers, I placed her palm against my cheek.
"Ketaki," I said.
"Kahiye," she replied with her eyes closed.
"How much more are you going to sleep? Wake up I want to talk to you," I whined but she fell back asleep in just few seconds.
"This woman is unbelievable," I said turning my head in the direction of Jabaaz and it felt like he was enjoying my state. Giving up, I closed my eyes too and fell asleep too.
Ketaki
I heard giggling sounds that made me wake up with a jerk and I found Subhadra, Reva, Tulsi, and few other ladies standing in front of us. I quickly got up from him and sat on the grass holding my blouse at the front that was open. The shawl was stuck underneath him while he laid on top of it with his naked upper body. I shook him to wake him up as they were all still giggling. Some even diverted their eyes trying not to add to my embarrassment but it wasn't helping much. He woke up stretching his arms and casually sat up.
"Cover yourself up," I whispered to him lowering my gaze and he sensed my embarrassment.
"Turn around ladies," he commanded, and they all instantly followed his orders and turned their backs towards us. Some even placed hands over their eyes making me astonished at how easily they all listened to him.
