Tejasvin
I took her hand to pull her out of the water and we stepped on the dry grass. She was looking all so excited to see what's coming next for her and I just found that too adorable.
"Wait here," I told her, and went behind the tree where I had kept something for her. Coming out, I hid it behind me and walked up to her who had a huge smile on her face.
"Close your eyes," I asserted and so she did. I brought the huge glass jar to the front and opened up the lid and said, "now you can open your eyes."
"Jugnoo," she squealed cheerfully as the fireflies began to come out of the jar slowly and spread in the air in front of her eyes. Her eyes followed them as they rose up in the air. She watched them with her mouth open and I could see their yellow light shimmering in her eyes. She was looking at them in an awe and I was looking at her the entire time. The jar got empty soon and they spread around us making the night sky glisten in yellow light. I went behind her and putting my jaw on her shoulder, I took her hand in mine. I picked it up in the air with the palm of her hand facing up and told her to stay quiet.
"Shhh, don't make a sound," I instructed her, and she nodded standing as still as she could. A firefly slowly landed on her hand, and I smiled. I placed a kiss on her temple as she kept looking at the insect with much fascination. It flew off soon and her head moved up following its path. I turned her around quickly and pulled her closer to me. Taking her hand, I kissed it and placed it over my shoulder as I curled my hand around her waist. Her head fell on my chest, and I wrapped my arms snuggly around her.
"Thank you," she mumbled in my embrace which made me tighten my hold on her.
"Anything that would bring a smile on my Ketaki's face," I said pecking her crown. The fireflies had surrounded us now from every side as we stood in the middle in each other's embrace.
Detaching herself, she looked at me with moist eyes and placed her palm against my cheek. "Ketaki ki khushi to aapse hai," she said, and I took her hand that was on my face and kissed the back of it.
(Ketaki's happiness begins with you.)
I pulled her on top of my feet, and she put her hands around my neck. I placed my lips on hers and began moving them slowly taking her into a kiss. The fireflies were still lingering around us lighting up the night and also our hearts.
Breaking the kiss, she touched her forehead with mine and said, "I think we should go home now. Its late." Lifting her chin up, I slammed my lips on hers again as I could not get enough of her the last time. She felt breathless under the movement of my lips, so I broke the kiss. Before she could even catch her breath, I picked her up in my arms and began walking towards out house. She put her arms around me holding me tightly.
"I can walk," she said snuggling against me.
"I know," I said looking straight ahead and smiling while continuing walking.
We reached home and I looked down only to find her sleeping in my arms. My lips curled into a smile again looking at her sleeping like a baby. I pushed the doors open slowly using the side of my body to avoid making any sound that would wake her up and went up the stairs to our room. I placed her on the bed and covering her properly, I laid next to her. I placed my arm over her and closing my eyes, I soon fell asleep too.
Ketaki
"Bahar nikal Tejasvin," I heard a loud voice that made me wake up with a jerk and I sat up in bed. I realised that it was already morning, and he was still sleeping next to me.
(Come out you Tejasvin.)
I budged him couple times, but he wasn't ready to wake up. "Wake up, someone's calling you," I said shaking him.
"Mhmm let me sleep sanam," he said in his sleep and pulled on my arm that made me lay back down with my back against his chest. Wrapping his arm around me, he pulled me even closer to him. He kissed my nape deeply and within seconds, I was underneath him.
Leaning into the side of my neck, he began to nibble my skin. "Someone's calling you—ahh you should ah mhm—go check," I said in between my light moans as he brought his hands underneath my petticoat and caressed my thighs while leaving kisses on all over.
"Tejasvin ke bache bahar aa," someone shouted again, and I pushed him off me.
(You Tejasvin's kid come out.)
"Go check please," I said, and he fell next to me sighing heavily.
"Tejasvin ka bacha koi hone dega tab na," he said and instantly got up to get a t-shirt from the closet. Wearing it, I watched him leave the room. I got up to fix myself up a bit and went after him.
(Only if someone will let Tejasvin's kid be born.)
As I went downstairs, I saw a man who looked around the same age as Tejasvin standing in the middle of the room looking all angry.
"Jay," my husband yelled in joy spreading his arms and moving towards him, but he jerked his arms away.
"Don't talk to me," he said angrily. "You got married and didn't even inform me?"
My husband began rubbing the back of his neck not knowing what to say. I was just standing at some distance watching all this when that other person spotted me and cheerfully came towards me.
"Bhabhi," he said and bent down to touch my feet, but I moved away before he could.
"No no don't do that please," I said and he straightened himself up. He looked back at Tejasvin who was walking towards us.
"He's Dhananjay, my best friend since school times," he informed me, and I adjoined my hands to greet him.
"Where's Sehaj?" He asked.
We all heard sneezing sounds coming from outside and soon watched another person walked in. He had a white handkerchief in his hand that he constantly kept sneezing in.
"There he is, Mr. sensitive," Tejasvin said, and both the men broke into laughter. They both went in his direction and my husband took him in a hug. He looked happy meeting them which made me smile too. I soon watched maa and Smriti join us, and Sehaj and Dhananjay went towards them.
"How are you Jay?" maa asked as he bent down to touch her feet while Sehaj was meeting Smriti.
"Good aunty. Just upset with your son. He didn't even think to invite us to his wedding," he said and patting his back she said, "it all happened suddenly Jay."
"Ooo so love marriage, eh?" Jay teased him. "But bhabhi what made you fall in love with this thing?" he said and Tejasvin pushed his elbow in his stomach that made him crouch in pain.
Sehaj touched maa's feet too in the meantime. "You are still sensitive to the village's environment huh," Maa said, and he nodded cleaning his nose with the cloth. They all got busy chatting when I noticed my friends at the door waving at me. I went in their direction excitedly and took them in a hug.
"We came to get you for our morning bath. It's been so long since we have gone for one together, so we thought to take you with us today but looks like you're busy," Reva spoke while peeping inside.
"Oh no let me just inform Tejasvin then I'll come with you. Even I was missing our baths," I replied. Before I could turn around, Dhananjay came and stood next to me all of a sudden making me startled.
"Hello hello," he greeted my friends. "Who are they bhabhi?" he asked.
"My friends, Subhadra and Reva," I introduced them, and he forwarded his hand in the direction of Subhadra for a handshake. Instead of forwarding it, she adjoined her hands and said, "Ram Ram."
He took his hand back with a smile and joined his hands too. "Ram Ram ji, Ram Ram" he said bowing his head down a little that made Subhadra smile too. My husband came and stood next to us as well and greeted them.
"Tejasvin can I go for a bath with them today?" I asked.
"You don't have to ask Ketaki. If you wish to go then just go," he said, and I nodded. Hurriedly going to my room, I grabbed my clothes to change into and left with them to the riverside.
