Amara was embarrassed with all the attention and judgment by everyone in the precinct. Even the people behind the bars are staring with their judging eyes.

Amara realizes she is not as thick as she thought.

As she is not needed after she gave her statement. She left to cool down her heated face.

Martin followed her after giving Stephen and Ivan a profound look.

Ivan was jealous beyond imagination.

How would he know that Martin is Amara’s husband?

It was pretty easy to know if he had given some thoughts and cared about knowing Amara for real. But he has zero care and just wants to get the woman. He had always thought Amara can’t have anyone better than him.

But the man in question is actually Martin. It was like a slap to his pride.

Stephen was unable to look at Martin. He was embarrassed..and also feeling guilty.

Why? Because he let someone like Ivan court Martin’s wife! She is in his territory so he should have taken Amara’s best interest into consideration.

Stephen was convinced.

Martin talks to the police before excusing himself to follow his wife.

He looks at Michael and they two nod at each other.

Amara looks at Martin and he looks at her.

She scratches her cheek.

“What a mess, right?” She awkwardly smiles.

Worried Martin will get mad at her so she looks at the pavement.

“Let’s go home? They will release brother-in-law and Stephen later. That guy Ivan will also bail himself out.”

“Um..”

She nods and follows Martin. Amara is about to help him push but Martin secretary is faster.

Martin looks up at his secretary. She blinks and looks behind her.

Her lips twitch.

“Actually I am going back to the company because I forgot something. Mrs. Daelelam can you help me push the boss?”

She said sweetly.

“Oh….Then don’t worry. You go back. It must be important.” Amara shyly takes her position.

Martin smiles but says nothing.

It’s not like they have to walk far. They waited for the car to turn around so they could get in.

“I booked a reservation. Let’s have dinner with just the two of us.” Martin said when they finally settled inside the car.

Amara looks at Martin.

“Oh..”

She looks at her clothes.

“Okay. But I have to change my clothes so let’s go home first.”

“Ofcourse.”

Martin chuckles.

It’s not like they are in a hurry.

Amara looks at Martin. He is in his work clothes.

“Did you come here after work?”

“Should I ignore the fact that you are in the police station?”

Martin smiles at her but his eyes say he isn’t happy.

“I’m sorry you have to bother yourself.” Amara says softly.
