Unknown 1 pov

My head stung like h3ll. My body wasn't much better, I was shaking slightly. My stomach suddenly growled, which is when I realized just how hungry I really was. I whimpered at this fact. I was starving, which didn't really make any sense, since I had eaten just before entering the portal.

That when I realized, 'how long have I been unconscious? Seeing as how my body seems tired from shaking I'd have to guess it had been a week or longer. Possibly even a month with how weak I feel.' I felt around with my fingers first. The ground was hard and not mush at all. There was no grass, weeds, flowers, no life at all.

Even though I didn't want to, I forced my eyes to open themselves. They felt extremely heavy, the light that strained my eyes didn't help I. The slightest. I felt a liquid ran down the left side of my forehead it reached my nose before falling onto my check, finally it slid off and I t the ground. I could see the ground was course and dry, 'it hasn't rained here recently has it.' I was sweating madly, the sun was brutal on me. In the distance I saw shade. 'I'll stay there until night.'

I rolled over on my side, big mistake. My skin burned, my muscles ached, but worst of all was how my head felt. After I had lifted it up, pain surged past the bumbnesss at the back of my head. It screamed at me to stop moving, the pain made me dizzy. My vision became both foggy and blurry and before I knew it I passed out once more.

I woke up to when I can assume was night time, and hopefully not an entirely new day. The sun no longer pricked at my skin eating it alive. I opened up my eyes and slowly sat up, still in pain, but not as bad as before. I looked to where my head had previously been and took notice to the puddle of blood.

The blood seemed to only be a few hours old. As it was almost completely dry, but not quite yet. It was an all too familiar brown color. I shifted from leaning on my right elbow to my right hand. Lifting me up a few extra inches. I pushed my self up the rest of the way, so I was now sitting on my knees, my calf's, and my heels.

My left hand rested in my left, while I lifted my right up to check the back of my neck and then traveled it up to my head. My neck was slightly damp, with what I can only assume was blood. Luckily, I could not find any scratches and/or wounds. My head however, was a different story. I felt a lot more blood up there, there was also what felt like a scar on it. When I looked over, I noticed a sharp rock that was covered in blood. It was a lot older and larger than the puddle of blood on the ground.

'I guess that when I fell my head landed on that sharp rock. That explains why I was so dizzy, it was from blood loss..' I put my hand down and slowly began making my way into a standing position. Once I was up I checked out my surroundings.

I was in a clearing with course dirt with a few sharp rocks littering the ground. There were a few large trees nearby. What seemed to be the one of the largest of the bunch. Beside it looks to be some wild radishes. 'Aside from the fact that I almost just bleed to death, this might just be my lucky day.' I deadpanned at the statement in my head.

Slowly, I made my way over to the wild radishes that were slightly hidden with weeds. I plucked out a dozen healthy ones, then made my journey to find some water to rinse the dirt off with. They were a golden crisp color, though covered with a thin layer of dirt; I could see the crisp outer layers. After just a minute of walking, I came across a small stream. I dipped each of them in the water at the same time; the warm air tossing my hair about as I did so. It was a thin breeze, but that was beside the point. I took them out and inspected them for any underground mice or vole bites. When gevin a closer inspection of them, I was able to identify the plant as a Helios beetroot. 'I think that's what Hailey called them anyways, what a plant fr3ak.'

There was I bite on one, so I left it there on the ground. Sure, I was hungry, but I had enough that I didn't need to take the risk of getting infected by rat poisoning. I munched on one of them, the outer layer was crisp and flakey, mixed with some of the middle layers it made a crunching noise in my mouth. At first the texture was most defining, then the sweetness hit my mouth. I never knew radishes could be so sweet. Then again, I hadn't eaten in a while, so I suppose the taste seemed more extravagant than normal. (The fact that this whole paragraph is JUST about eating A RaDiSh),

After eating 6 of the radishes, I left to go and explore. This is when I stumbled across a village. But there was something wrong, 'why are there so many people here? Are they looting? Why are there no fights breaking out?' My tail twitched in anticipation. '"Well, curiousity DID kill the wolf pup, but satisfaction brought it back." Or so they say.'

I wa about to turn the corner and enter the street, when suddenly a little runt ran by. I little boy ran right passed me before stopping right next to me. He took one look at my ears and tail and started crying out of what looked to be fear. An emotion I had seen on dozens before. Two more little brats came by. Instead of crying like the first runt, they stood there ooing and awwing at me. 'What are they doing?' I thought.

"Can I touch your tail!!" One of the little pests reached out to touch my tail. 'Ewww, like I'd let a little brat touch My TaIl!' I immediately swatted my tail away from them. Grasping the tip with my fingers. I then made a loud hiss warning them away. The runt was scared enough he fumbled in fell with tears in his eyes. The other two just took a few steps away.

I suddenly heard the sound of steps coming toward us. Suddenly, a boy that was older than the rest, I assume he's 8, rounded the corner and spoke. "Hey little bro, why'd you run off back here?" He then turned to me and froze.

He had short black hair and wide blue eyes. There was nothing significant about him aside forom his horrified expression. He ran to get ahead of the younger brats and the runt before shouting at me. "STAY AWAY FROM MY BROTHER AND HIS FRIENDS YOU DEMON!!!!!" 'Demon? Does he mean Deamos? Does he not know the difference between a Werewolf and a Daemos?'
I snarled at him, then stated. "If you mean the two brats and the runt, then you should teach them to keep their hands to themselves. It might just get them killed one day." I then walked away slightly irritated. 'What is the problem with these kids? So disrespectful!! Humans have changed for the worst. They lake discipline and have lost the "respect your elders" mentality. Whatever, I still have no clue what was going on in that village, but it doesn't really matter anyways.'

I returned to the woods and began my journey to find my friends.
