Prepare Yourelf

Lynn's pov

  I woke up first as usual. Not long after Utokodaki-San awoke. And after him Tanjiro-Kun did.

  I was sitting in the corner watching Tanjiro-Kun cutting his long hair, with precision. 'I don't understand why it's necessary.' Urokodaki-San had his back turned to us and seemed to be preparing something out of sight from us. 'It's a weapon.' A voiced screamed in my head. That same voice saved me numerous times on my planet. But here, it has only been untruthful.

  Urokodaki-San walked over to a drawer I had discovered was hidden in the wall. He shoved the wooden door to the drawer open. Behind it, two masks. He held them both in his hands. "Tanjiro, here is a mask I have designed for you. If you would wear it to the Final Selection. I will be the happiest." He said, handing the mask to Tanjiro-San. "Lynn, I do not expect you to wear this, but at the very least carry it with you." He handed me a mask that was similar to the one I already had on it had the same red patterns, except it was a full face mask, and not the half one I was wearing. "I would love to wear it Urokodaki-San."

  I turned around so neither of them could see my face, then quickly untied the band around my head. Once the mask was off, I placed it carefully on the ground beside me. The mask that Urokodaki handed me was beautiful.

  The mask represented a fox. With both the red ears of a fox and the crystal blue fox eyes. Similar red lines and designs dotted about the mask, circulating around the eyes. The mouth was mad from a line that traveled from the black nose.

I placed it on my face, tying the red rope around my head. It only took a few seconds of adjusting when I knew that it was securely in place. I turned around to see Tanjiro had his on the upper left side of his head. His mask had both red ears and eyes, that represented his own. There was what appeared to be a replica of the sun in the corner where his scar is. His mask had a black nose and a mouth with two line forming a mouth. In the corners of said mouth, were two red dots for some reason.

Later that very same day, both me and Tanjiro -Kun got dressed in the matching yukata's provided to us. (Yes, I looked it up, it is a yukata apparently). It was the same as the one Urokodaki-San wears. White fluffy clouds, that's usually what the clouds are colored her. And a light blue background, for the sky I presume. I don't understand it though, since it has nothing to do with water. (Lynn doesn't know clouds are made of water).

Tanjiro-Kun and I both wore black underneath and black pants to go with it. I wore the mask Urokodaki-San gave me on my face and asked him to keep my other one safe. Tanjiro-Kun wore his in the same place as before. We both had our swords with blue design's in our seethes.

Tanjiros pov

After both me and Lynn were dressed in our yukata's and were just about ready to go, I went over to the room Nezuko was in to say goodbye. "Nezuko," I began, grabbing her hand and caressing it with my own. "I promise, I will come back for you."

Lynn and I headed outside to say our final goodbyes to Urokodaki-San. "Do not worry about your sister Tanjiro, she is in good hands." "Thank you for everything Urokodaki/ Urokodaki-San." Me and Lynn both said at the same time.

We started running off in the direction when I stopped to mention. "Say hi and thanks to Sabito for me." I said waving back at him. Lynn looked confused and Urokodaki froze at my statement. 'Weird, I thought Makomo and Sabito said they knew Urokodaki.'

Urokodaki-San's pov

'Tanjiro, how do you know the names of the dead? ...Take care of each other, Lynn and Tanjiro. You two truly are, remarkable children.' I then left to the house to take care of Nezuko.
