(Your aunty author is here, and she is improving on her vocabulary. The dictionary will always be at the bottom of the chapter along with the word count. That's all. Hope you enjoy! Also this probably won't last long since I'm already getting tired of looking up definitions).

⚠️ Warning: Curse Warning ⚠️

Tanjiro's pov

The girl clutched onto me tightly as the drums beat over and over again. Each time, we would be teleported to a different room. 'So this is their blood demon art?' Eventually, the sudden upheaval seised. The pitiful girl was almost sobbing out of fear. I pulled her away, just enough to see her face. "I'm sorry you got separated from your brother. But, I'm going to protect you no matter what!" I beamed, whipping away a few tears from her Hazel eyes. "And Lynn will protect your brother." I said this because, truly, I didn't have much faith in Zenitsu to protect the child. But, Lynn had a soft spot for children, she'd safeguard him well.

"What's your name?" I asked her, trying to lighten the mood. "It's Teruko," her tiny voice quivering marginally. "Your name is Teruko? Your parents picked out a beautiful na-" Before I could finish my sentence the scent of a demon became over-baring. I heard the thumping of footsteps come from behind an open door on the far side of the room.

A demon walks through the light as it reveals its vulgar self. Pale gray skin with red markings on his face. His hair a similar shade of red to my own. Fangs out in an annoyed expression. It had several drums along its body. Eyes that were pure red, and possessed no pupil.

The girl half gasped before I carefully clamped my hand over her mouth. Preventing her from making a sound, which could alert the demon. 'Of all the scents of demons in this mansion, this one's is the strongest. It is likely the most powerful. Perhaps they're the one who controls this place?' Fury rushed through me as I realized how many humans this demon must have consumed to gain this preternatural strength.

Lynn's pov

After Tanjiro left I began to panic slightly. "What? Where did? Is this the blood demon art?" I blurted my thoughts out loud. "We're gunna die! I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm dead, I'm so dead!" He screeched, but as soon as he turned to me his expression changed. Almost at the speed of light, the boy was cling to my left pant leg like a baby koala. "You'll protect me won't you?!" I, much to his protest, kicked him off of me.

"Teruko? Where are you?" The little boy called out to, most likely, his little sister. This caused Agatsuma-Kun rushed over to the boy. Waving his hands in his face he said, "hey, hey, kid! You can't go around yelling like that! If you do the demon might hear you and it will all be over!" I deadpanned at this, since he was practically yelling himself. 'What an idiot,' I wanted to say. "Let's just go wait outside!" He suggested to us both.

"Why would we do that?" He asked the next question mortified by the suggestion. "Are you trying to escape and save yourself?" The boy continued on his rant. "All this whining about dying.. Aren't you ashamed of yourself?" Agatsuma-Kun pulled his arms off of the boy and made a shocked noise. "You're clinging to a younger person for protection. Why does a coward like you have a sword attached to your hip in the first place?"

Agatsuma-Kun fell back banging his head on the dirt covered floor. 'So over dramatic,' I rolled my eyes. "Your words... They cut so deep." His voice sounded water-logged and as if he was chocking on his own blood.

Next thing I knew, Agatsuma-Kun had grabbed both me and the kid and were dragging us through the hallway. We were headed for the exit. "Listen here you two, I'm not going to be of use here anyways." He cried out as he ran, while I struggled to maintain my balance. Agatsuma-Kun and his timorous ways were slowing getting on my nerves. I could feel the irk mark on my forehead.
