Chapter 10: Nightwolf Meets Rei

Kung Lao and Minako returned to the Wu Shi Academy later that evening. They walked into the house holding hands and went into the living room, where everyone was taking their break from training. Rei and Ami arrived hanging out and talking to them.

Kung Lao then announced to everyone that he and Minako were engaged. Usagi quickly stood up and rushed towards her best friend, and enveloped her in a tight hug.

"I'm so happy for you two, Mina!" Usagi squealed.

Liu Kang and Nightwolf looked at the two women, puzzled.

Johnny let out a smirk, saying, "It's about time you two were engaged."

"Congratulations, you two," Liu Kang said, smiling.

Minako let go of Usagi and stepped closer to her fiancé, "Thank you."

Nightwolf looked between Liu Kang and the other couple, confused, "Engaged? How can you tell?"

Johnny shrugged off, smirking. "Well-"

Sonya glared at her boyfriend as she interrupted him, "Shut up, Johnny."

Johnny could only chuckle.

Nightwolf continued to stare at Minako and Kung Lao until his eyes widened, "OH!" He exclaimed when it finally dawned on him what they meant. He blushed and congratulated the couple.

"So what are you guys planning to get married when Liu and Usagi were married?" Rei asked with arms crossed.

"It might take a while for us to plan this for our wedding, but we need to think of a plan for Liu and Usagi's wedding," Minako said.

Rei nodded. "Very well."

Then Nightwolf noticed her which caught his attention. "Something about you caught my attention."

"Huh? What do you mean by that?" Rei asked, giving him an annoying look.

He looked away, smiling. "Oh, nothing."

"Oh, I haven't told you about him, have I? This is Nightwolf. He is a guy who attempts to make me his woman." Usagi said.

"Oh, really? Well, I hope he doesn't come and kidnap me. If he does, I'll blast him with my flame power." Rei said, giving Nightwolf a threatening look, which caused him.

"I-I won't try anything harmful, miss... I'm not really a kidnapper... You see, I thought she might be the one for me, but turned out she is with Liu Kang." Nightwolf said nervously.

"I see," Rei said, looking at him.

"Just admit! You set me up for the test before defeating Shao Kahn. You said if I lose, I would be your woman." Usagi said, pointing it out.

"It was a misunderstanding!" Nightwolf argued.

"Yeah right!" Usagi argued back.

"If you guys want to keep on arguing, then I'm leaving." Then Rei took off leaving, didn't bother to look back.

"Hey, wait! We haven't got to know each other yet!" Nightwolf said, running up to her as he tried to stop her from leaving.

"Not a chance, mister," Rei said as she flickered her fingers at Nightwolf's face, causing him to collapse. Of course, she left Wu Shi Academy immediately.

"Wow, she is so out of your league, Nightwolf. No wonder why she is that cold." Johnny said, joking about it.

"Sonya always out of your league when you're that kind of a Hollywood playboy, Johnny," Liu Kang said, reminding him.

"But aren't they dating?" Usagi asked, confused.

"We usually break up and makeup sometimes," Sonya answered.

"Oh..." Usagi said as she sweatdropped.
