8."Falling Through the Cracks"

As Ena woke up, the events of the previous day replayed in her mind. She glanced at Jungkook's side of the bed and found it empty, a sight that had become all too familiar. Without lingering, she headed straight to the shower. Emerging from her room, refreshed, she made her way to the living area.

There, she noticed the guard entering with a large black box in his hands. He handed it to Ena, bowed, and left without a word. Confused, she carried the box to the sofa and placed it on the table. Opening it, she was greeted by the sight of a stunning violet dress, matching heels, and a silver pendant. Shocked, she held up the dress and pendant, just as her phone beeped, startling her.

She checked her inbox and found a message from Jungkook:

"I have sent you a dress and accessories. Please be ready at 7 in the evening; we are going to a party."

Ena read the message and dropped the phone onto the couch, her gaze shifting back to the box of accessories.

"Why all of a sudden? I thought I was invisible," Ena mumbled to herself, recalling last night's arguments. Despite everything, it was a small relief that Jungkook had texted her first.

It was already evening, and Ena was in her room getting ready for the party. She carefully slipped into the elegant violet dress, admiring its rich color and the way it hugged her figure. The thin straps rested delicately on her shoulders, and she adjusted them slightly, noting the dress's long, flowing fabric and the small, tasteful slit up to her knee on one side. She then stepped into the matching heels, their height adding a graceful length to her legs.

Next, she fastened the silver pendant around her neck, the cool metal resting against her skin, and picked up the coordinating silver purse. Moving to her vanity, she applied light makeup that enhanced her natural beauty and let her hair cascade freely down to her waist in soft waves. She took a moment to glance at herself in the mirror, feeling a mix of nervousness and excitement.

As she waited for the driver to arrive, Ena sat on the couch, her mind drifting back to the events of the previous day and the unexpected message from Jungkook. "Should I call Jungkook and ask why the driver isn't here yet?" she wondered aloud, her anxiety growing with each passing minute. Just as she was about to reach for her phone, the main door of the penthouse opened, startling her.

She looked up and saw Jungkook standing there, his presence commanding the room. He was dressed in a sleek grey suit, perfectly tailored to his form, with a stylish belt cinching his blazer. He exuded an aura of confidence and sophistication that left her momentarily speechless.

Ena stood up, her eyes sweeping over him appreciatively. "He looks heavenly," she thought, unable to tear her gaze away.

Simultaneously, Jungkook was equally mesmerized by her transformation. "She looks divine," he thought, taking in her radiant appearance.

They stood there, silently admiring each other, until the driver's arrival broke the spell. The driver informed Jungkook that the car was ready, and Ena snapped out of her trance, her cheeks flushing slightly. She averted her eyes, looking around the room to avoid his intense gaze.

Jungkook, still captivated by her beauty, glanced at her once more and asked, "Are you ready?"

She nodded, her voice momentarily lost.

"Shall we leave then?" he inquired, his tone gentle but firm.

She nodded again, managing a small smile. Together, they walked to the door, their anticipation for the evening ahead palpable in the air.

Jungkook's pov

We sat in the back seat of the car, with a noticeable gap between us. The driver opened the door for her, and I followed suit, settling into my seat. She seemed intent on looking everywhere but at me. I couldn't help but glance at her, captivated by how stunning she looked. The violet dress was indeed the best choice I had made; it complemented her perfectly. A small smile tugged at my lips as I admired her.
