Author's POV

Ena stood before the mirror in her room, brushing her hair with steady, practiced strokes. Her reflection stared back at her, composed and determined, a stark contrast to the turmoil she felt inside. She finished applying a light touch of makeup, something to mask the sleepless night and the weight of everything that had happened.

As she reached for her bag, she took a deep breath, steeling herself for the day ahead. She moved towards the door, her hand hovering over the handle when the door suddenly swung open. Jungkook stood there, his face a mix of anxiety and hesitation. His presence, once comforting, now felt like an intrusion, a reminder of the pain she wanted to escape.

"Ena, wait," Jungkook started, his voice low and urgent. He stepped inside, closing the door behind him. "We need to talk."

Ena's eyes narrowed slightly, her hand tightening around the strap of her bag. She didn't want to have this conversation, especially not now. She stepped back, trying to create some distance between them, her face a mask of indifference.

Jungkook moved closer, desperation evident in his posture. "Please, Ena, I can't stand this silence. I need to make things right. I need to explain—"

Ena cut him off, her voice cold and unyielding. "Explain what, Jungkook?" She fixed him with a hard stare, her eyes devoid of the warmth they once held. "Explain how I'm a cheater? How I carried another man's child? How I'm so disgusting that even my own husband can't stand the sight of me?"

Jungkook's eyes widened, and he shook his head vigorously. "No, Ena, that's not what I meant—"

She continued, her tone growing sharper, fueled by a bitter anger. "Or do you want to remind me of the lies you believed? The lies you threw in my face without giving me a chance to explain?" She took a step closer to him, her voice dropping to a harsh whisper. "You think I'm a whore, Jungkook? Is that it? A woman who sleeps around and hides it from her husband!?"

Jungkook's eyes widened at her remark and reached out, trying to take her hand, but she pulled away, her eyes blazing. "Don't touch me," she hissed. "You made your judgment clear. There's nothing left to say."

He looked stricken, his hand falling to his side. "Ena, please," he pleaded, his voice cracking. "I didn't mean any of it. I was just... scared."

"Scared?" Ena echoed, a bitter laugh escaping her lips. "Scared of what, Jungkook? Scared that I might actually be a decent person? That there might be more to me than your narrow judgment?"

Jungkook's eyes filled with tears, his voice barely a whisper. "Scared of losing you."

Ena's expression softened for a brief moment, but she quickly hardened her heart. "You already lost me, Jungkook," she said quietly. "When you chose to believe the worst of me without even asking, you lost me."

She turned towards the door, ready to leave. As she placed her hand on the doorknob, she paused, looking back at him one last time. "I don't want to talk to you," she said, her voice firm but laced with sadness. "Not now, not ever. Whatever we had, it's gone. And you have only yourself to blame."

she paused, seemingly reconsidering. She turned back to face Jungkook, who was still standing in the middle of the room, looking lost and broken. Her gaze was steely, her voice steady but filled with an undercurrent of simmering anger.

"One more thing," she began, her tone cutting through the tension like a knife. "Whatever sources you got your information from about my supposed abortion... check them again. Do your own digging. You might find that the truth is a lot more complicated than the lies you were fed."

Jungkook's brows furrowed in confusion and a flicker of hope. "What do you mean?" he asked, his voice barely above a whisper, as if afraid of what he might hear.
