Author's POV
Jungkook and Jimin stood outside the hospital ward as the doctors examined Ena. Jungkook was visibly distressed, sitting on a bench with his hands resting on his knees. His gaze was fixed on the floor, and he barely seemed to register his surroundings.
Jimin glanced at Jungkook, noting how he had never seen him so devastated. Trying to offer some comfort, he approached and said, "Don't worry, she'll be fine." His smile was weak, reflecting his own worry. Jungkook merely nodded, his eyes still glued to the floor.
Minutes felt like hours until finally, the doctors emerged from the ward. Both men rushed forward, their desperation palpable as they asked about Ena's condition.
"Don't worry," the doctor reassured them. "We administered some medication. She’ll be fine but needs plenty of rest. Once she regains consciousness, you can take her home. We also conducted some additional tests, and the results will be ready by tomorrow evening."
Jungkook sighed in relief at the doctor's words. "Jimin, prepare things. We are leaving today," he instructed.
"Today? But Jungkook, the doctor took some blood samples. Shouldn't we wait for the results, at least?" Jimin questioned, concern evident in his voice.
"No. I can't let her stay here any longer. We'll leave today. Wrap up things here," Jungkook responded, his tone desperate and unyielding.
Ena's pov
When I woke up, everything was a blur. My vision was hazy, and I couldn't make sense of my surroundings. Sounds seemed muffled, like I was underwater, and the shapes around me were indistinguishable. My head was heavy and throbbing, and I felt a profound sense of confusion. I tried to focus to understand where I was or what had happened, but nothing was clear. It was as if my mind was disconnected from reality, struggling to piece together fragments of a puzzle that just wouldn't fit.
When I tried to remember things, everything felt disorienting. My body ached, and I could still feel the remnants of the panic attack gripping my chest. The memories of what happened before I fainted came flooding back—each blow, each insult. My mind was a whirlwind of fear and confusion. I tried to take deep breaths, but every inhale felt like a struggle against the weight of the assault, both physical and mental. The world around me seemed distant and surreal, and all I wanted was to feel safe again.
i looked at my surroundings and saw someone beside me—a lady dressed in a nurse's uniform. She smiled at me and gently asked about my well-being. As she left the room, the pieces began to fall into place. I realized I was in a hospital. The sterile smell, the beeping of monitors, and the white walls all started to make sense. My head was still throbbing, but at least I knew where I was.
Only a few moments passed before the door opened, and Jimin entered with a look of mixed worry and relief on his face. He quickly approached and sat beside me, gently caressing my hair.
"How are you feeling now?" he asked softly.
"I'm fine," I answered weakly, my voice barely above a whisper.
"You have no idea how afraid we were. You left Jungkook and me bewildered," he said, his voice trembling slightly.
At the mention of Jungkook, I wondered where he was, as I hadn't seen him since I woke up. I began to look around the room, searching for him. Sensing my concern, Jimin reassured me, "He's outside, getting your discharge paperwork."
I didn't respond, my mind still foggy and disoriented. Jimin continued to talk, his soothing words offering some comfort. The nurse returned with a tray of food, and I ate silently, grateful for the nourishment but too exhausted to express it.
