ship: shōta aizawa + hizashi yamada.
The evening light streamed through the large windows of Shota Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada's cosy apartment. It was a peaceful Saturday, the kind where the city's usual buzz seemed to be replaced by a serene stillness. The space was filled with warm tones, a reflection of the love and comfort that the two had built together over the years.
Hizashi Yamada, who usually thrived in social settings, had made an unusual choice this weekend. He had declined multiple invitations to parties and events, opting instead to spend the day at home with his husband, Shota Aizawa. The decision had come as a surprise to their friends, who were used to seeing the energetic voice of 'Present Mic' out and about. But Hizashi had his reasons, and they were simple and heartfelt.
Shota Aizawa, ever the introvert, was lounging on the couch with a book in hand. His usual stoic demeanour was softened by the quiet contentment of the evening. He looked up from his book when he heard Hizashi's footsteps approaching. Hizashi walked into the living room, wearing a relaxed pair of sweatpants and a comfortable shirt—his typical attire for a day spent at home.
"Hey, Shota," Hizashi said with a warm smile. "How's the book?"
Aizawa's eyes met Hizashi's, a rare smile tugging at his lips. "It's good. I'm actually getting quite into it. How was your day?"
Hizashi sat down beside Aizawa, leaning his head on his shoulder. "It was nice. I had a good time just being here with you. I didn't go to that party after all. I figured it was a good day to spend with my favourite person."
Aizawa's smile grew, his heart swelling at Hizashi's words. "You really didn't have to stay home. I know you like socializing."
Hizashi shook his head, his eyes softening with affection. "I know. But honestly, spending time with you is more important to me than any party. I wanted to be here, with you."
Aizawa closed his book and set it aside, turning to face Hizashi. "I appreciate that. I know it's not always easy for you to stay in. I'm glad you did."
Hizashi reached out, taking Aizawa's hand in his own. "I wouldn't have it any other way. I just love being around you. It's where I feel the most at home."
Aizawa's gaze softened, and he squeezed Hizashi's hand gently. "You're always making me feel appreciated. Sometimes I think I don't deserve someone as wonderful as you."
Hizashi chuckled softly, resting his head against Aizawa's shoulder. "You deserve more than you think, Shota. You've been my rock, my anchor. I want you to know how much you mean to me."
Aizawa's heart melted at Hizashi's words. He leaned in, pressing a tender kiss to Hizashi's temple. "I feel the same way about you. You make my life so much better, just by being in it."
The two of them sat in comfortable silence for a while, simply enjoying each other's presence. Hizashi reached for the remote and turned on the TV, but instead of picking a show, he found himself content to simply be next to Aizawa.
After a while, Hizashi spoke up again, his voice thoughtful. "You know, I think we've got something really special here. Sometimes I think about all the moments we've shared, and I can't help but feel incredibly lucky."
Aizawa nodded, his eyes reflecting the sincerity of Hizashi's words. "I feel the same. Every day with you is a reminder of how fortunate I am."
Hizashi looked over at Aizawa, a playful glint in his eye. "So, what do you say we make tonight a little more special? Maybe a homemade dinner and a movie? Just us."
Aizawa raised an eyebrow, a smirk playing on his lips. "Sounds perfect. I think we could use a relaxing night in."
Hizashi stood up and stretched, his eyes sparkling with excitement. "I'll get started on dinner. How about you pick the movie?"
Aizawa nodded, his smile widening. "Got it. I'll choose something we both like."
As Hizashi moved to the kitchen, Aizawa watched him with a sense of deep affection. The sight of Hizashi bustling about, preparing a meal with his usual enthusiasm, was a reminder of the life they had built together—a life filled with love, understanding, and mutual respect.
The evening unfolded with laughter and warmth. Hizashi prepared a delicious meal, and they enjoyed it together, their conversation flowing effortlessly. After dinner, they curled up on the couch, wrapped in a cosy blanket, and watched a movie that neither of them had seen before.
As the credits rolled and the night grew late, Hizashi snuggled closer to Aizawa, resting his head on his shoulder. "You know, Shota," Hizashi said softly, his voice filled with contentment, "I wouldn't trade these quiet moments for anything."
Aizawa kissed the top of Hizashi's head, his heart full. "Me neither 'Zashi. This is exactly where I want to be."
They held each other close, savouring the simple yet profound joy of being together. In that moment, surrounded by the soft glow of their home and the warmth of their love, they knew that they had everything they needed right where they were.
And as the night drifted into peaceful slumber, Shota Aizawa and Hizashi Yamada found solace in the knowledge that their love was a constant, unwavering presence—one that would always make home feel like the most perfect place in the world.
