ship: katsuki bakugo + eijiro kirishima.

The quiet of the U.A. dorms was disrupted by the muffled sounds of distress coming from Bakugo's room. The moonlight filtered through the thin curtains, casting soft shadows across the room. Bakugo was thrashing in his bed, his face contorted with fear. His nightmare had taken hold, pulling him into a dark and suffocating place where he was powerless to save those he cared about.

Kirishima, who was in the adjacent room, was jolted awake by the sounds of Bakugo's shouting. His heart raced as he listened to the fragmented cries that seeped through the thin walls. Panic gripped him as he realized that something was wrong.

Kirishima scrambled out of bed and rushed to Bakugo's door, his concern evident in every step. He knocked urgently, his voice trembling with worry. "Bakugo! Are you okay? I can hear you yelling."

The shouting continued, a mix of anguish and desperation that cut through Kirishima like a knife. Without waiting for a response, Kirishima pushed open the door and stepped into the room, finding Bakugo tangled in his sheets, his eyes wide open in terror. Kirishima's heart ached at the sight.

"Bakugo!" Kirishima said urgently, moving to his side. "Wake up, it's just a nightmare."

Bakugo's eyes snapped open, his breathing ragged and uneven. He looked around the room, disoriented and trembling. When his gaze landed on Kirishima, a flicker of recognition crossed his face, mingled with relief and vulnerability.

Kirishima knelt beside the bed, his hand gently resting on Bakugo's shoulder. "It's okay, you're safe. It was just a bad dream."

Bakugo's breath was coming in quick gasps as he tried to ground himself in reality. "I... I couldn't save them," he murmured, his voice strained. "I was trapped, and I couldn't do anything."

Kirishima's heart broke at Bakugo's words. He reached out and took Bakugo's hand in his own, squeezing it gently. "You're not alone, Bakugo. You don't have to go through this by yourself. I'm here and I always will be, okay man?"

Bakugo's eyes slightly welled up with tears as he nodded, his tough exterior crumbling in the face of his fear. "Shit. I'm sorry... I didn't mean to wake you."

Kirishima shook his head, his expression filled with tenderness. "Don't apologize. I'm here because I care about you. I want to help you, especially when you're hurting."

Bakugo looked at Kirishima with a mixture of gratitude and embarrassment. "Why do you always have to be so damn kind? I'm not used to this."

Kirishima offered a reassuring smile, his thumb gently stroking the back of Bakugo's hand. "Because spoiler alert, I care about you, Bakugo. You've been there for me - a lot, and now it's my turn to be there for you."

Bakugo took a shaky breath, the warmth of Kirishima's words and touch slowly calming the storm inside him. He pulled himself into a sitting position, still holding Kirishima's hand tightly. "Thank you... I don't know what I'd do without you."

Kirishima sat down beside him on the bed, wrapping an arm around Bakugo's shoulders in a comforting embrace. "You don't have to worry about that. I'm not going anywhere."

As the night wore on, Kirishima held Bakugo close, whispering soothing words and gently rubbing his back. Bakugo's breathing gradually steadied, and the remnants of his nightmare began to fade. The warmth and presence of Kirishima provided a sense of security that Bakugo desperately needed.

After a while, Bakugo pulled back slightly, his eyes meeting Kirishima's with a newfound softness. "You really are incredible, you know that?"

Kirishima's smile was tender as he looked at Bakugo. "Thanks 'Suki. See? You can be nice when you want to." Kirishima chuckled lightly.

Bakugo took a deep breath, finally feeling the weight of the nightmare lift from his shoulders. "I know but seriously, I don't say it enough, I appreciate you. More than you'll ever know."

Kirishima's heart swelled with affection. "I'm just happy to be here for you. We'll face everything together, good or bad."

With a sigh of relief, Bakugo leaned his head on Kirishima's shoulder, closing his eyes as he let the comfort of his presence wash over him. The nightmare had been a cruel reminder of his fears, but Kirishima's unwavering support made him feel safe and loved.

As the night continued, the two of them sat together in the dim light of the room, finding solace in each other's company. The outside world and its troubles seemed far away, leaving only the warmth of their bond and the promise of facing whatever came next together.

In the quiet of the night, Bakugo finally allowed himself to relax, knowing that with Kirishima by his side, he could face any darkness, no matter how frightening it seemed.
