Fynn
What happened?
I can't help it.
What is so hard that she can't fully move on from it?
I want to know so badly.
But I won't ask her.
I won't pressure my girl.
She has to decide to tell me.
Once she's ready.
Father I pray that you heal her from all anxiety, from all the pain, from her past, from the burdens of her heart and the things she struggles to talk about. Save my girl, in Jesus name, heal her my Lord. Amen.
She fell asleep in my arms.
My love.
My beautiful love.
She always looked as if she had everything under control.
I think she did, but she pushed her past away into the back drawer, focusing on her future.
Which is good but neglecting the past always leads to a breakdown once everything comes up again.
I've been through that.
I broke down so many times.
Even after talking to God about it and thinking I'm finished with it, it came up again.
And again.
And again.
I didn't even realized when it stopped.
But it did.
Eliana shifts in my lap, her eyes fluttering open.
She smiles sleepily as she sees my face.
"Hi", I smile.
"Hi"
"How'd you sleep?"
"Very well", she whispers, "except that you're still not very comfy."
"Well, you can sleep on the bed", I attempt to place her next to me.
She tightens her grip on my poloshirt, "no no no. I like not comfy."
I chuckle, "I'm kidding. As if I'm letting you go."
I pull her tighter to me.
She giggles.
Man, I love this sound.
She clears her throat, moving away from my lab, "I'll go make some dinner."
"Hey woah wait", I rush in front of her on the floor.
She just attempted to stand up.
Her foot.
"We just ate."
"I know but we have to go to bed early because we need to wake up early remember?"
My stomach twists at the thought of leaving her.
She sees right through me.
"Heyy, it's alright. We can see each other next weekend again", she strokes over my hair.
I look into her green eyes.
"I can drive over to you."
I shake my head, "nope, not a chance."
"Fynn", he says in her soft cute voice.
"No, don't 'Fynn' me. It's way too dangerous for you alone."
"I'll be careful."
