Eliana

The days flew by so fast.

It's Wednesday today.

Fynn's at work.

And the kids are in the living room with me.

They're watching a movie while I read a book.

We had breakfast about an hour ago.

I had my second breakfast an hour ago because I ate with Fynn at seven too.

We always, always always always, have breakfast together.

When you have that little time together in the weekdays you want to enjoy them at the fullest.

The doorbell rings, I stand up and walk to it.

"Delivery for Eliana Smith", the man hold a round box in his hands.

"Yep, that's me", I smile and accept the box.

I sign and tell him to have a good day.

The box has baby pink and blue stripes on it.

It's this gender reveal cake that I ordered.

I wanted to find out the gender in private.

Just my husband and me.

I know that's what he'd wish too.

I walk into the kitchen and place it on the counter.

"Who was it?", Alejo asks.

"A delivery."

"What's in it?", his twin asks.

"A cake."

"Cake?", Hugo walks up to me.

"Yes but Fynn and I are going to eat it first, alright baby? The color inside of it will reveal the gender of our baby."

"The one in your belly?", he asks, looking up at me.

I nod with a smile, "yes, my love."

"You wanna know the gender this time?", Alejo walks up to me.

"Yeah. We kinda regretted not knowing it last time."

He nods, leaning against the counter with his forearms.

I make room in the fridge for the cake and place it inside.

Fynn's gonna be home soon.

I straighten my beige maxi dress.

It has short tights sleeves and a tighter fitting on the waist.

My belly is visible.

I'm already in my second trimester.

Sixth month.

Alejo told me they'd all go upstairs so that Fynn and I could be alone.

I placed a blanket on the grass in the garden.

The cake is standing on it.

It's white on the outside with the words 'boy or girl' written on it.

Boy is in blue and girl in pink.

Keys open the front door, "I'm home!"

I walk up to him and swing my arms around his neck.

His free hand holds my back.

I press a kiss on his lips, "hi."

"Hi", he smiles.

He slips out of his shoes, "where are the kids?"
