Fynn

"Where are we going?", she giggles, holding onto my arm.

"You'll see", I grin.

We're at our special picnic place.

It looks so much more colorful in summer.

But the view is still breathtaking.

I lift the branch of a tree, revealing the lake.

Eliana smiles as she walks under the branch I hold up.

Theres a little bridge.

I jump down the high soil we were standing on.

I lift my arms up for her and help her down.

She grins.

"Stay right here."

I take a sack with bread out of my pocket before slipping out of my coat.

I lay it on the wooden bridge and walk over to her.

Her gaze is fixed on my coat, eyebrows narrowed upward.

I lay my hand on her lower back and move her closer to the 'blanket'.

I sit down and extend my hand for her.

She accepts and sits down.

Her eyes are looking into mine, "aren't you cold?"

"No, well not yet, but I forgot my backpack with the blanket at home."

She tilts her head and cups my cheeks.

Her warm lips meet mine.

"I love you", she says after letting go.

"I love you", I stroke over her cheek with my fingers.

"Wanna feed the ducks?"

Her eyes light up and she nods.

I hand her the sack with bread.

She takes a piece out and rips it to little bits.

She throws a piece into the lake, "come here, little duckies!"

I smile at her.

She looks so cheerful.

So happy.

She's so beautiful.

"Honey look, they're coming!"

I look at the lake.

There are so many ducks.

She feeds them all.

After a while, she's done.

The breads all fed to the ducks.

She wanted me to feed them too but I said no.

She looked too happy feeding them.

I don't want to take her joy from something that simple.

I wrap my arm around her and she clings onto my dark beige long sleeve.

My hand caresses her head.

The other one strokes over her little belly.

It has grown so much.

She's 16 weeks now.

"Wait", she sits up and unties her cream coat.

She reveals her light brown knitted dress.

It shows her little bump.

I meet her gaze, "close your coat. Now."
