Fynn
"Let me come with you."
"Honey", she wraps her white scarf around her neck, "you have to go to work."
"I'll stay at home."
She slips into her cream coat, "you can't just... not go to work."
"I can do anything. I'm the boss."
She gives me a look as she pulls the zipper of her boots around her brown tights up.
"Please, let me go with you."
She exhales defeated, dropping her head a little.
After few seconds she lifts her head and nods towards the stairs, "go get dressed."
I'm still in my pajama.
I grin and walk over to her, pecking her lips.
"And hurry, we have to be there in 40 and we need to drive 20 minutes."
"Yes, ma'am."
I rush upstairs and slip into a pair of dark denims with a belt and a black turtle neck.
I put on socks on my way downstairs.
"Careful", Eliana begins to rush to me because I almost slip.
"I'm alright", I grin.
"Oh Fynn", she shakes her head, walking back to the door, "you're taking all my nerves."
I slip into my shoes, "but you still love me."
"But I still love you."
I put my black coat on, "do we have time to grab a coffee on the way?"
She lifts her sleeve, looking at her wristwatch, "I believe we do."
I grab my scarf, "perfect."
Walking over to her, I lift her chin with my finger.
I kiss her lips once, "all ready."
"Then let's get going", she smiles.
We drive into the drive in from Starbucks to get some coffee.
I place our coffees into the cup holder and pay.
Eliana pecks my cheek, "thank you."
"You're welcome, love", I smile at her.
The ride to the hospital is quiet.
I think she has fallen asleep.
Though I have to wake her up any moment.
I called work and told my secretary Mark that I won't be coming in today.
After I left my first job he was a little or very angry at our boss.
Then I asked him if he wants to be my secretary at my grandpas— my company.
He said yes.
I pull into the parking lot and park the car.
I unbuckle my seat belt and turn towards her.
"Baby, wake up", I stroke over her cheek.
She groans softly.
"We're here."
Her eyes flutter open, "we are?"
I smile and take her coat and scarf from the backseat, walking out of the car and to her side.
After I open her door, she climbs out and slips into her coat and wraps the scarf around her neck.
I interlink our fingers together and we walk in.
