The delinquents were woken up in a startle by a loud alarm echoing through the room. It wasn't long before Clarke had ran off to find out what it was about, River followed shortly after.

River paid for the aftermath of the near escape the day before when she tried to run again, feeling her still wounded leg aching. The Mountain Men had fixed her bullet wound, although it hadn't had enough time to heal yet.

Considering that, it would've been smartest for River to stop running, yet she didn't. Instead she arrived at the place a bit later than the others because of it.

She was met with a bunch of people dressing up in radiation proff suits as she turned around a corner. River overheard them talking about someone that had gotten attacked, fear rising in her, afraid of it being her own people.

"Who attacked them?" Clarke asked, worried.

"What are they doing here?" A man asked, looking between Jasper, Clarke, and River.

Clarke figured she wasn't gonna get any answers out of them, therefore she decided to snatch a keycard from a man nearby. River followed her up to a heavy metal door, watching as Clarke swiped the card and the door opened. The blondes didn't waste a single second on slipping through the door, while Jasper on the other hand was a bit more hesitant.

He had trust in the Mountain Men — Clarke and River didn't.

The two girls sprinted further across the hall, stopping suddenly when Clarke spotted a certain door. Quickly she swiped the card and entered, both out of breath.

"Stop pushing so hard. These people are—" Jasper started as he reached the room a moment later, but got silent when he saw the body lying on the table.

"Are lying to us." Clarke finished his sentence, observing the wound on the body. "That's a bullet wound. Grounders don't use guns."

"Unless the grounders got the guns from us." He attempted to reason with them, but neither of them bought it.

"I don't think so. I think our people are alive out there." Clarke told him.
