River had never imagined such an awkward setting before, until she was sat in a small room with Bellamy, Octavia, Nyko, and Ash.

Octavia and Nyko weren't the issue here.

Bellamy and Ash were.

They didn't need to speak to state their dislike for one another. River, who was sat against Bellamy's chest, would once in a while feel his arms snaked around her waist tighten. And each time, she discovered that Ash had looked her way. Even if it was only for split second or two.

She sighed internally. Seriously?

Oh, how she wished for Clarke to come back with a resolution faster.

"I'm gonna go get some air," River exhaled as she stood up, untangling herself from Bellamy's arms. She didn't need to look back to know it was Bellamy's footsteps that followed her outside the drop ship. Only when she stepped onto dirt, did she turn to face him. "What's the deal with you and Ash?" she asked, crossing her arms.

Bellamy shrugged. "There's no deal."

"Bellamy, come on. I see the death stares you give him and how you seem to keep me away from him, even though I know him," she said, "He's nice, Bell."

"Yeah, maybe he's a tat bit too nice when it comes to you," he spat, annoyance laced in his voice.

A realisation hit River like a brick and a smirk found its way to her lips. Was he jealous?

". . . you're jealous," she smirked.

"No, I'm not—"

"—Yeah, you are."

"I'm no—"

River walked up to him, grabbing him by the jacket gently as she smiled up at him. "Don't worry, I think it's cute." The way Bellamy smiled down at her next caused her knees to grow weak without her consent.

"Well, in that case. Then yes, I was jealous," he admitted, resting his hands on her hips. "I just dont want him to take what's mine."

River didn't think it was possible for her knees to grow weaker, but here she was. Her cheeks heated up faster than ever before and she had to look away. It seemed Bellamy didn't like that idea and placed a finger under her chin to slowly get her to look back up.

"You're cute, when you blush," he complimented.

River's heart skipped a beat. A warmth spluttered in her chest, when he leaned down and attached his lips to hers. She didn't think twice about kissing him back.

Oh, how she'd missed him.

Their lips moved in sync as River placed her hands on either side of his face. Bellamy slowly began to move her backwards, hands roaming her body, making up for the time they'd been apart.
