"River" Octavia shook River slightly. "River, wake up. There's something going on"
Quickly, River got up, threw on a pair of shoes and pants — completely forgetting the fact that she only had a sports bra on — and left.
People pointed to the night sky, therefore River looked up to see a pod looking thing flying down towards earth. Her entire face lit up.
They were getting help from the Ark.
"Bellamy! Get out here!" Octavia called for her brother who exited a few seconds later, shirtless.
As much as River tried to peer her eyes away from his chest, she found herself staring a few more seconds than needed. Of course, she had seen him shirtless before. But there was something different about it this time — something she couldn't quite grasp what was.
Just then, a twisted unwelcoming feeling rose in her stomach when two blanket covered girls ran up behind him.
Ignoring the unknown feeling, she shifted her eyes back to the sky.
What River didn't notice was Bellamy's eyes wandering towards her body too. His jaw clenched when he noticed a few guys looking her way.
"They're coming to help us" Someone said from the big crowd of people, "Now we can kick some grounder ass!"
One of the blanket covered girls tightened the blanket around her body. "Please tell me they brought down some shampoo" She said.
River's eyebrows furrowed. Seriously? They were down here not knowing whether or not they were going to get killed by grounders — and here she was worried about shampoo?
While everyone else wore euphoric expression, Bellamy on the other hand didn't look pleased by the situation.
River wondered for a second why that was... until she realised what Bellamy had told her days ago. He shot Jaha. If they came down he would either get locked up for the rest of his life or get killed. As much as she despised Bellamy at the moment, she couldn't just ignore the fact — she had to help him.
