River didn't know how long she'd been locked up for. Once again, they'd trapped her in one of those horrendous white rooms. A difference from the last time she was there, was that her hands were now tied to the bed. Her legs were too, chained to the end of the bed's legs. Pulling, biting, pushing. . . she'd tried everything to escape — nothing worked.

The door opened, in came none other than President Wallace. Yet this time, he didn't have one of those fake smiles plastered across his face. He held a numb expression as he entered, Dr. Tsing right behind him.

River's breathing was ragged, glaring at the two, "Let me out." she said, sounding almost more like a warning other than a request.

"I'm afraid we can't do that." Wallace spoke calmly, closing the door behind him.

"If you want to kill me then get it over with."

"We don't want to kill you—"

"No, of course you don't." River's voice was deadly slow as she spoke.

All respect she had for them was gone, long gone. Or, to be honest, it was never really there in the first place. But it was different now. She'd seen it with her own two eyes, what they do to the outsiders. And now. . . she wanted revenge. No matter how she had to get it.

"You want to trap me, drain my blood, use it for yourselves. . . you are disgusting."

Dr. Tsing shook her head slightly, "Of course you don't understand. You have the privilege of being able to live outside. We don't."

"Maybe there's a reason for that." River spat. "How can you even live with yourselves? Huh?"

Wallace closed his eyes for a moment before sighing, "We do what is necessary for our people. You would understand, River. You're a leader, just like me—"

River pulled at her restrains, "I'm nothing like you! You are a murderer, a psychopath!"

Dr. Tsing rolled her eyes, "This is pointless." Just then, she moved forward, closer to River. "Where did Clarke and the two outsiders go?"
