Akito rested her hand on her cheek, leaning against the table. "It seems you've forgotten.. the kiss." Her lips formed into a smirk as she stared at me.

I cleared my throat. "I uh.. didn't forget." I muttered. I did kinda forget. My mind has been so distracted with that whole Shigure situation that the kiss didn't even seem like an opportunity to me! Not when she can kiss him so willingly.

I'm not even sure if I want to kiss her.

"Your mind is somewhere else." She leaned against the table, basically towering over me. She read me like a book.

Glancing up at her, I sighed. "Well believe it or not, I have more important things to worry about." I replied. "Not just some kiss." I took a bite of my food. Akito raised her eyebrow and stared at me like I was crazy. "Really now? 'Some kiss?' You weren't saying that when I fu—" I quickly covered her mouth, angrily blushing at the reminder. "Please be quiet." I whispered quickly. It seems madam hearing our chat from the other side gave me ptsd.

Akito slightly glared and removed her hand from my mouth. "What's changed your mind?" She held my wrist. Her awareness seemed on today. "Nothing. Don't worry about it." I looked away, taking another bite of my food.

Annoying by my dismissive response, she pushed my food to the side. "Answer me." She ordered.

I glanced up at her, squinting one of my eyes. "Why do you care so much? No need to keep your eyes on an outsider when you have Shigure." I said without thinking. She paused, her grip on my wrist loosening. "What are you talking about?" Her eyes pierced through me, but it didn't matter. Maybe it had to be said.

"Don't act so surprised. You basically use me for your pleasure." I looked away. At first, I looked forward to the kiss, but it didn't seem as worth it as it was before.

"Why should that matter? You're my maid. You traded your freedom for your little Yuki and Kyo so I get to do whatever I want." She spat. The nerve of this woman. I glared. "I'm also a person if that didn't occur to you." I stood up, bawling my fists. "Shigure told me himself that you're too good for an outsider like me." I added.

Akito stared in shock and disbelief. She seemed surprised by my sudden retaliation, but I was done giving into her. "Outsider or not, you're mine, Y/n." She stood up, angrily pushing the table aside.

The plates fell to the ground, crashing and sending food over the floor. "Are you sure you even want to kiss an outsider?" I looked towards the door, planning my escape route if she were to try anything. She laughed as she walked closer to me. "Do you really think I'd want to kiss you?" She sternly grabbed my chin. "I thought if I could soften you up a bit you'd have a better attitude. But I guess that's just not working. Though it was for a little bit." Akito snickered.

"Shigure is right." She spat, glaring down at me. "But you're still mine. What can you do about it?" She smirked.

My hand reacted on its own. It flung across her cheek. I blinked. I just slapped Akito.
