You woke up and checked the time. '9:37am..' you thought, sitting up and stretching. You did your daily morning routine before something hit you.
What was on your mind the night before had returned and all you could think about was Akito. You sighed and finished your routine and sat on your bed.
You tried distracting yourself from the thoughts of her but couldn't handle it. You placed your phone down and decided to pay Akito a morning visit.
You knocked on her door. No answer. You knocked once again, louder this time, only to hear and angered voice say come in. You went in, only to see Akito sitting in the same spot as yesterday.
You walked over and sat by her. "Good morning." You said. She stayed silent. "Uhm.. we're you asleep?" You asked as she huffed. "What do you need Y/n. You never spend or take to time see me, so what is it now?" She spat.
"I just wanted to say good morning and see how you were doing. Yesterday you.." you paused, wondering if you should say the rest.
She looked at you and glared. " 'I' what?"
"I don't know, you seemed a little off." You said quietly. "I'm always like this, so what does it matter to you." Akito said in a raspy tone.
You looked at her. She was hugging her knees and looking down. This was a completely different Akito from what you've seen.
"Are you okay, Akito?" You asked, genuinely concerned. She looked up at you angrily. "What did I say about calling me Akito?! I said call me master Akito!" She yelled.
As much as you hated to admit it, you were a little happy to hear her yell, she didn't seem like herself before.
"Okay, right. Sorry 'master Akito.' " you quoted.
You leaned your back against the wall and looked around her room. Her futon laid in the middle of the room and it was dark. You stood up and walked around. "Your room is so empty. Not to mention dark and gloomy, let's give it some light." You opened the window curtains and light filled the room.
"See? So much better!" You smiled, looking at Akito. "Close them, it's too damn bright Y/n." She mumbled.
You sat down on the floor and looked at Akito. "I wanted to ask.. would you allow me to roam around the estate?" You stared. "I mean, technically I'm not leaving, I'll stay around the house." You said.
"Absolutely not." Akito said in a cold tone. You crossed your arms. "And why not?" You asked.
"Because you'll try to run away." She said. " it's not like I can, I am doing this for Yuki and Kyo. " you said.
She went quiet. You smiled and tilted your head. "Is that a yes?"
"No."
You dramatically sighed and looked at her. "You're so uptight." You stuck your tongue out and stood up. " well, I'm gonna go to eat breakfast, is there anything you want?" You asked. Technically you're still Akito's personal maid, you you had to ask and do these things.
"Rice." She said. You squinted your eyes. "Just rice? That's so boring and plain ak- Master Akito." You said.
"I don't care." She said, walking to the window and sitting in the ledge. You rolled you eyes and walked out.
You went to the kitchen to prepare what you wanted to eat then Akito's plain breakfast. You soon finished and went back to her room, handing her the rice and sitting down.
She looked at you. "Why are you still here?" She asked. "Duh, I'm gonna eat here with you." You said, taking a bite of your food. "I don't recall giving you permission to eat in here."
"I'm only in here to see if you need anything you know, as a maid and all." You winked at Akito only for her to softly glare and look away.
As you both ate, someone knocked on the door. "Come in!" You yelled as Akito covered her ears. "This isn't your room, I say when people come in!" She yelled back at you.
Hatori came into the room and saw the pair eating on the floor. He raised an eyebrow. "Did Akito ask for you to come into here Y/n?" She asked.
Before you could answer, Akito beat you to it. "As if I'd ask for her, she's annoying. She came in bothering me and won't leave." She spat as you continued eating.
"You could use the company." Hatori said.
He came in to do a daily check up on Akito. You watched close as Hatori checked her vitals and more.
"Y/n, could you leave the room for a moment?" Hatori asked, you nodded and stepped out of the room.
Minutes passed and you were summoned back. 'Must have been personal.' You thought.
You looked at Akito who seemed furious. Her rice was thrown and all of it fell out the bowl.
What did Hatori say to make her so angry?
"It's probably best if you head back to your room, Y/n." He said, packing his tools back up.
You looked at Akito. Who wouldn't even make eye contact with you. "Okay, if It helps, i'll leave." You said and smiled, telling Hatori goodbye.
You went into your room and sat on the bed, thinking about your moments with Akito. To think that if you didn't stop by there yesterday, this whole situation wouldn't even exists.
"I wonder what Hatori said to Akito that made her so mad." You mumbled, laying on your bed and getting on your phone.
