It was Shigure. Him and Akito were.. kissing. And just right when I got my hopes up.
Don't get me wrong, it wasn't like I liked her or anything, but for some reason I just really wanted a kiss from her.
I quickly closed the curtains of her window. Emi turned to look at me. "What's up?" She asked. "Nothing." I replied quickly.
She raised an eyebrow and was about to open her curtains before I stopped her. "Y/n—" "Sorry, i just uhm.. hey, what else have you made by crochet?" I asked, trying to change the subject.
Emi stood up and went to her closet revealing all the things she made. As much as i wanted to stay focus, I couldn't.
Akito and Shigure were kissing. I can't believe she'd..—
"Y/n, you okay?" Emi asked. She was showing me a sweater. I quickly shot my head up. "Oh! Yeah, I'm all good!" I said in an awfully high pitched voice. "You don't seem 'good.'" She pointed out.
I fake yawned. "I guess I'm just really, really sleepy. I should probably head to bed." I suggested as she closed her closet.
She gave me a worried expression. "Is there something bothering you? Other than the whole— laid thing." She mumbled.
I snickered. "Oh please, I'm not bothered by that as much as you think." I replied. "Ah! But you're somewhat bothered by it." Emi grinned. I rolled my eyes and stood up from her bed. "If you need me to fight him I will!" She held up her fists playfully. I smiled at her. "You know you can't do that." "But I can! Body over mind!!" She said enthusiastically. I laughed and threw one of her pillows at her. She jokingly fell to the bed as if the pillow had an effect on her.
"In all seriousness, I should really go to bed now." I sighed. She nodded. "If you say so. Night, Y/n." She ran over to give me a hug. I quickly hugged her back. "Good night, Emi."
I left her room and headed to mine. I couldn't stop thinking about what I saw. I was practically losing my mind trying to figure out how I could get her to kiss me, meanwhile.. she kissed Shigure so easily. So.. willingly.
My fist bawled up. I refuse to let it get to me. This just shows me how I shouldn't chase in the first image. After all, I am just an outsider to them. But as long as I'm able to protect Yuki and Kyo.
Once I made it to my room, I took off my kimono and got into the shower. When I finished, I got into bed.
The next morning I was woken up by an alarm on my phone. I rolled over in my bed and yawned.
After doing my morning routine, I clothed myself and headed to the kitchen to prepare Akito's breakfast. When done, I began walking to her room. I knocked with my foot, only for the door to quickly open.
It was Shigure. He looked down at me and smiled. He must have spent the night with her.
"Y/n! It's so nice to see you." Shigure said, though I'm sure it was a lie. "Oh, Gure, what are you doing here so early?" I asked. "I was just in the area and thought I'd come see Akito." He smirked down at me. Refusing the sensation to roll my eyes, I nodded and smiled.
Shigure adjusted the buttons on his shirt. "I'll be on my way, bye Y/n." He waved. I stared at him for a bit before turning into Akito's room with her food.
I place it down on her table without exchanging a single word. Just as I began to walk out, Akito spoke. "No good morning?" She asked with a cocky grin. "Morning." I kept it short and simple then headed for the door.
She watched me leave her room. She seemed almost bored by my attitude, and quite frankly, I didn't care.
Closing the door, I sighed. Of course she'd just go on like everything was normal and last night didn't happen.
I won't allow myself to be her little play thing. I'm here on a mission, so I need to stop distracting myself.
