Akito seemed very hesitant. Almost like she was trying not to hurt my feelings or something. That's what I thought at least.
"What's the matter? Just talk to me." I stared over at her. She turned her head away.
"I'm worried you'll leave. Just like everyone else!" Akito spat. "Those ungrateful brats.. you're probably just like them." She sucked her teeth.
"I came here on a mission. I am going to protect Yuki and Kyo, even if it means staying here." I assured her with a determined tone.
This side of Akito seemed more soft and sensitive. I was so use to her destroying everything that I forgot she could be so laid back. Even if she was still yelling, that's some sort of change, right?
I stared at Akito's plate of food. She didn't eat much from it.
"So is that it? Are you just scared I'll leave you?" I asked as she glared at me. "What do you mean, 'Is that it?'" She grumbled.
I rested my head on the table. "Well— I didn't mean it like that. It's just that I'm not familiar with this side of you." I stated.
"What side of me? I don't have a side to me." She spat, picking up her chopsticks and playing with her food. "Well, maybe you can't see it. But besides that point, I'm not going anywhere, unfortunately." I joked as she stared down at me.
It seemed like her expression changed, but only for a bit. She didn't look like the chaotic person I'd see almost everyday, it's like she had a bit of humanity in her eyes for a second.
Akito's eyebrows furrowed as she bawled her fists. "Get out, Y/n!" She yelled. Taken aback, I glanced at her. "Wh—"
"Go! Leave!" She ordered. I rolled my eyes and stood up. "Want me to take your plate?" I placed a hand on my hip. She glared. "Okay okay, I'm going." I chuckled and left the room.
I'll admit, it was nice to hear her yell at me. She seemed more gloomier than usual, so at least she's not all sad.
