It's been about a week since I've meet Emi. She's a cool girl and we have a lot in common. It's also been a week since my interaction with Akito. She hasn't talked about it, nor acts like anything has changed.
Though I like it being this way, I can't help but wonder why she did that.
I was sitting in my room with Emi. She'd often come over to hang out and we'd talk about random things in between our breaks.
She seemed like a pretty trustworthy person, so trustworthy that I wanted to talk to her about Akito, but would that make it weird? She must have know I had something on my mind because she decided to confront me.
"Y/n! You've been spacing out a lot lately, you okay?" Emi asked. She was laying on my bed reading a good while I was sitting on a chair by my desk, facing her. "I'm all good! I just—" I paused, looking away. Should I tell her? She sat up and looked at me with a worried look.
"You can talk to me. Or don't, it's up to you. But I can tell you have something on your mind." She explained.
I sighed and leaned back. "It's Akito! He's so confusing some times!" I expressed. "Really? I've never been around him to know why he's like. I'm advised to stay away, I can only imagine what you go through." She snickered. I covered my face with my hands.
"You are so lucky, Emi. I have to see him three times a day. THREE!" I grumbled as she laid back down.
"Well.. I say keep it short, just do what you have to do, the leave." She suggested. I shook my head. "That won't work, he gives the okay when I can leave. Some times he'll just keep me in there for the hell of it." I mumbled.
"Then maybe he's teasing! What if he likes you.~" She exclaimed. I shot up to look at her.
"Absolutely not! There's no way. He's too 'bougie' for me. I'm his personal maid. Not his personal toy." I rolled my eyes. She gave me a look which read she wasn't giving that thought up.
I spun my chair around. "Whatever." I said playfully as she grinned.
But now that I think about it, I probably was her personal toy. At least that's what it seemed like.
Standing up, I sighed. "Come on, our break is almost over." I fixed my kimono. She grumbled. "Madam is so mean! I don't wanna go back!" She whined.
I agree. She is a bitch.
"The day's almost over, you'll be fine!" I encouraged, grabbing her arm and pulling her up.
Emi stared at me with a smirk. "As for you.. enjoy your time with Akito!" She teased. I let go of her arm, soon causing her to fall down. "Ow!! Dammit Y/n!" She rubbed her back. "Next time you drop me, can it be on your bed?!" She spat playfully. I snickered. "Pause." I replied. We both laughed as we exited the room.
"It's almost dinner time, what should I make for Akito?" I asked Emi while we walked through the halls.
"He doesn't request anything?" She asked. I shook my head. "Not usually.. He kind of just eats whatever we make." I explained. She stopped in her tracks.
She turned her head with a wide smile. "You should ask then! Maybe he'll like the change in pace!" She suggested, jumping up and down as she held my hand. "Emi.. I feel like you're enjoying this— a little too much." I put out. She quickly nodded. I rolled my eyes.
It wasn't a bad idea though. It would be a change in pace for me too knowing what she likes.
Emi and I later parted ways since she was working in a different department of the main house, so I took this chance to head over to Akito's room.
I knocked softly in which she said it was okay to enter.
"Sorry for the bother, I'm about to get started on dinner, so I wanted to know what you'd like." I explained.
Akito was sitting in the corner of her room.
"Did you hear me?" I asked, walking over to her. "Anything is fine." She mumbled, looking at me for a second before pulling me down next to her.
I was taken aback, but allowed her to. "Is there something upsetting you?" I questioned. She shook her head.
Akito's been calm this past week. Not one tantrum. It was surprising, but stressful.
"Well, I think you should pick out a meal, If I can make it, then it's all yours." I gave a smile as she stared at me before looking away.
"....Even you?"
