I'm not sure why it took me so long to see what kind of person Akito was. I was being patient with her. I really was.
It was break. I was in my room fixing my kimono that had got slightly torn during me and her ordeal. Since I started as soon as break ended I should be done before it's over.
I sat in my bed. I've never been that good at sewing but I wasn't the worst at it. Though, I did keep poking my fingers every 30 seconds.
Dropping the kimono on the bed, I groaned. I put bandaids on my fingers when I heard a knock on my door. I walked over and opened it, only to see Emi. My eyes practically sparkled. "Y/n!" She came into my room, closing the door behind her. "Emi!" I cheered, hugging her.
"Woah what happened to you? You look like shit." She joked and sat on my bed. "I wish you were wrong." I sighed and sat at my desk, facing my chair towards her.
Emi frowned. "I actually came to ask if you wanted to switch shifts.. I don't exactly know what's wrong with you, but I can tell it has to do with Akito." She stated. Damn she's good. "Again, you're not wrong." I chuckled.
"But you know I can't do that. He'll eat me alive." Probably quite literally. "I mean it's worth a try, right?" Emi tilted her head with a smile.
I gave her a small smile back before we heard another knock on my door. "Expecting someone?" She snickered. "I wasn't even expecting you." I said back to her with a grin. I stood and walked over to the door. I opened it only to see the one and only Akito.
It's like we spoke her into existence.
"Akito!" I shouted loud enough for Emi to hear so she'd hide. She quickly went to my closet. What is it with me and hiding my friends in there?
"What a surprise." I said with an unamused tone. Without warning she walked into my room. I held the door open. "You know I'm on my break? Can't pester me." I spat.
She sat in my bed and stared at me. I glanced at my closet to see Emi's kimono STICKING OUT. I closed my door. Then casually walked over and moved it so I could close the closet door all the way. "Sooo.." I muttered and turned back to Akito. "What brings you here?" I asked, only for her to be standing right in front of me.
"You didn't come see me at lunch today." Akito stated. "What? Yes I did. I was the one who delivered your food." I glared while crossing my arms. "And you left right after. Didn't speak or anything." She playfully sighed. "I'm actually kind of hurt." She smirked.
Akito reached for my waist and pulled me in. I honestly forgot how good it felt to be in her arms. But that was my desperate side taking over. "I'm very busy, I'll be over with your dinner in about an hou—" "What happened to your fingers?" She interrupted and held up my hand, looking at all the bandaids.
I heard Emi squeal. I coughed loudly and kicked the closet in which she quickly shut up. "What was that?" Akito looked at the closet. I gently pressed my hand on her cheek and made her look back at me. "Nothing, it was nothing." I smiled nervously.
She stared at me. Looking into my eyes and not saying a word. I grew hot. I knew I was blushing like crazy. "My break is probably over. I should get back to work." I looked away, just wanting to get out of her embrace.
"I expect you to stay when you bring me my supper." She stated and leaned in to kiss the bandages on my fingers.
Akito left the room and I quickly closed and locked my door. I breathed heavily as Emi swung the closet door open. "Is he into you or am I just crazy?!" She asked with excitement.
Aw, come on. You were just asking to switch shifts with me. Is she a red flag to you or not?
"He's gotta be teasing!!" I groaned and laid on my bed. "He wants you to stay for dinner!" Emi laughed. "He's just teasing." I took deep breaths. "He wants you to come see you more!" Emi continued.
"He. Is. Teasing. Shut up, Emi!" I threw my pillow at her as she kept laughing.
I mean, she's gotta be, right?
