"Do you have a card or number so I can contact the Journalist?" Lucas almost choked on the glass of water he was drinking. "It not to tell her that your cancelling is it?" Lucas asks nervously almost trembling.
"No, I should at least be able to communicate with her a bit beforehand." Marcel says not knowing why he's surprised by this thinking it should be obvious.
Lucas still suspicious on what his intentions really are. "are you sure? Usually you leave the interpersonal stuff to me."
"I'm sure, so do you have the number or not?" Marcel asks again not knowing why he's questioning his choices.
"All right I trust you, here's her card," Lucas says feeling abit hesitant about all this.
" Thanks" Marcel says taking the card In his hand.
"Looks like little Marcel has finally grown up." Lucas wipes a fake tear from his eye.
"For once stop acting like a clown, and go do some prep work or go on a date with your fiance or something." Lucas leaves and says sarcasticly, "wow I can feel the appreciation."
Marcel tosses a pillow at Lucas, who heads out the door. Marcel takes this time to dial the number on the card, he waits for the person on the other end to pick up. Flipping the card in his fingers, he notices something garnering a playful chuckles out of him. "Shortcake." He smirks as he hears the other line pick up.
Roxanna: Hello good afternoon, you've reached the editorial department of Visualizer publishing. This is Roxanna Thornhill speaking.
Marcel freezes upon on hearing her voice, unable to say a word. "Why does this voice sound like?" Marcel questions in his thoughts.
Roxanna: Hello?
Roxanna asked into the phone confusedly, she doesn't know why the other end is quite. Wondering if something might be wrong with the receiver.
Roxanna: Hello, is someone there?
She asks and wonders if the person might have dialed the wrong number. Thinking it might even be a prank caller, she doesn't have the time to waste on silly games like this. Growing a bit impatient.
Roxanna: Hello, are you hearing me?
Marcel snaps out of his daze having almost forgotten what he was doing.
Marcel: Hello, sorry, yes I'm hearing you. Am I speaking with Miss Thornhill?
Roxanna: Yes I am, may I ask who I'm speaking with?
Marcel: I'm M.W, the artist that Hawthorne had been speaking on behalf of
Roxanna is a bit surprised
Roxanna: Could you please repeat that again sir? Who did you say you were?
Marcel: M.W the artist you've been wanting an interview with.
Roxanna is beyond words shocked with disbelief.
Roxanna: It's nice to finally hear from you. So what do I owe the pleasure of this call?
Marcel: No need to be formal, I just thought it would be good to keep in touch seeing your going to be conducting an interview and all.
Roxanna doesn't know why but the person on the other end sounds a little nervous. Also somewhat familiar but she can't quite place it.
Roxanna: Looks like you've decided to cut out the middle man Lucas. I might say this comes as Abit of a surprise seeing that you've been so hard to reach before.
