Chapter 29: Time to Refresh

Having the whole department given time off for working hard on this issue, Roxanna is bored watering her plants wondering what to do next. She thought of hanging out with Elaine and Andy but remembered they said they were planning on going on a date. She wonders if she should visit that old antique corner shop she used to go to, but remembers it's gotten quite popular lately.

Not sure what to do remembering that Celine had sent her a message asking if she'd like to go vlogging with her. Believing that should be fun sends her a reply.

Roxanna: I'll be ready in the next 15 mins.

She sets her phone down to get freshened up. Roxanna had been avoiding meetings with Celine for quite some time. Not due to her upset with her or anything but she didn't want there to be any chances that being near her with Lucas being with her and trying to convince her to talk to Marcel. It was already frustrating enough that Marcel was constantly messaging her phone being her to meet up with him to talk.

For some reason she couldn't find it in her to block him. Feeling somewhat petty that he should feel a little of what she was going through. After getting dressed she picks up her phone.

Celine: I'm outside

For the first stop Celine had driven them to the cornershop bookshop that she used to visit often. It's like Celine read her mind, the main reason it had become so popular lately as they'd incorporated a little cafe area into the mix that was fantasy world themed. They managed to find seats and enjoyed the assortments as well as checking out some books on the shelves. Though it was quite tedious trying to get in and out with the crowd.

Next Celine decided to take her clothes shopping, Celine encouraging her to try on an outfit. "Come on it will look good on you, trust me" Roxanna a bit reluctant "No I'm ok actually, I have enough clothes at home."

Celine, trying to convince her to put them on argues "yeah well you don't have these at home now come on try them on you'll like them." Shoving her into the changing room, when she comes out in a plaid wool high waisted skirt with a long sleeved subtle burnt orange ribbed sweater "See I told you It'd look good on you." at herself in the mirror and says "and you were right"

"See, now let's buy them,"Celine gloats. Roxanna says ok and turns back to the changing room, Celine asks, "Where are you going?" Roxanna confused "to change?" Celine says "No we're wearing these outfits out." They were both out of the store with bags of their previous outfits.

Their next stop they ended up going to an all you can eat buffet. While eating Roxanna's phone kept buzzing as if it were about to detonate , but she just flipped it over ignoring it. "So you're still refusing to talk to him?" Celine asks Roxanna answers "Yeah I think he deserves a little taste of what it's like. So let him suffer a little."

Celine says "Well why don't you just block him then?" Roxanna answers " No it's fine, he'll get the message eventually."

Celine inquires, "then what if he doesn't?" Roxanna answers, "Then I'll just continue to ignore him." Celine then says "but that might feel like you're leading him on?"

"How is that so?" Roxanna doesn' really think of it that way.

"Well he can tell that he's not blocked so that gives him hope that you'll talk to him'' Celine says, now Roxanna contemplates and then says, "I don't want him to think like that because of me."

"Just block him and get over it already then." Roxanna looks at her and says, "but I can't bring myself to do it" Celine asks "and why is that?" Roxanna shrugs " I don't know, I just can't" they have finally finished eating and Roxanna asks "so what's next on the agenda?" Celine says "oh this one is a surprise" as they drive off.
