(Author Notes: The Chamber of Secrets is my Harry Potter comfort film so I'm going to spend a great deal of time during this period, just fyi. It's also our film introduction to Lucius Malfoy.)

Mary and Barry

That night, you and Severus sat together in the cozy living room, enjoying your last evening of freedom before the new school year began. The atmosphere was warm and comfortable, the fire crackling softly in the hearth.

"So," Severus began, his voice a low, soothing rumble. "What are you going to name them?"

You smiled, glancing over at the two sugar gliders exploring their new cage. "I was thinking Mary and Barry," you replied.

Severus raised an eyebrow. "And how can you tell the difference?"

You pointed at the tiny spot on Barry's head. "See that spot? That's Barry. Plus, if you look closely, there's a difference in their stomachs. Mary has a pouch because she's a marsupial, obviously."

He nodded, intrigued. "Interesting. Anything else?"

You grinned, enjoying his curiosity. "Mary has a biforked uterus, and Barry has a biforked penis. Though he's been sterilized to make him more docile."

Severus chuckled softly, shaking his head. "You certainly know your sugar gliders. But you're aware you can't take them all over the school, right?"

Feigning ignorance, you tilted your head. "I'm not aware of any such rule."

He smirked, a playful glint in his eyes. "Pets must be kept in dorms unless being used in a classroom setting."

You shrugged nonchalantly. "We shall see about that."

Severus sighed, but there was a hint of amusement in his eyes. "You're going to be quite the handful this year, aren't you?"

You grinned, leaning in closer. "Both of your hands are going to be quite full keeping me in line."

He chuckled, his hand gently brushing a strand of hair behind your ear. "Indeed. But I look forward to the challenge."

You nuzzled against his neck, feeling the warmth of his skin. "And I look forward to keeping you on your toes."

Severus's arm tightened around you, his touch firm yet tender. "Just promise me one thing," he murmured.

You looked up at him, curiosity gleaming in your eyes. "What's that?"

"Promise you will come see me as often as you can," he said, a rare vulnerability in his voice. He then handed you a small box, his fingers lingering on the edges. "I have something for you."

Opening the box, you found a beautiful watch. "It's a Portkey," he explained. "From your dorm room to my chambers. That way you can sneak around more easily."

You grinned, genuinely touched by his thoughtfulness. "What a brilliant idea this was. Thank you, Severus." Then, a teasing glint appeared in your eyes. "Is it charmed like the necklace that you still haven't given me back yet?"

He shook his head, a slight smirk playing on his lips. "It is not. I didn't know if you wanted the necklace again since you keep giving it back when you are angry."

You moved closer, your voice dropping to a whisper. "Don't you want to know when I'm thinking about you in the mornings?"

His eyes darkened with desire, his hand cupping your cheek. "If you want it back, you'll have to get on your knees and ask like a good girl."

Your breath hitched, the intensity of the moment sending shivers down your spine. Slowly, you sank to your knees, looking up at him with a mix of defiance and submission. "Please, Severus. May I have the necklace back? I promise to be a good girl."
