The atmosphere in the classroom crackles with tension as you sit across from Professor Umbridge, her signature pink cardigan and sickly sweet smile at odds with the cold, calculating look in her eyes. She sits primly, her clipboard held like a weapon, her quill poised to take notes.

"Now, Miss Y/L/N," she begins, her voice dripping with false kindness. "As Hogwarts' High Inquisitor, it's my duty to ensure that all staff and aides are... properly aligned with the Ministry's expectations."

You maintain a neutral expression, knowing this is no ordinary questioning. "Of course, Professor."

She nods, clearly pleased with your cooperation so far. "Let's start with your position here. You seem to have garnered quite a bit of attention, haven't you?"

You raise an eyebrow, keeping your tone even. "I'm not sure what you mean, Professor."

Umbridge's smile widens, but there's no warmth in it. "Your close associations with several prominent figures, for instance. Can you explain your relationship with Professor Snape?"

Your heart skips a beat, but you don't let it show. "He's my mentor and colleague. I assist him with Potions and sometimes Defense Against the Dark Arts."

Umbridge's smile tightens, and her eyes gleam with predatory satisfaction. "That isn't the whole truth, now is it, Miss Y/L/N? When did you get engaged to Professor Snape?"

You feel a rush of irritation but keep your voice calm. "Last yule, I believe."

Umbridge's quill scratches across her clipboard. "And why haven't you officially married yet?"

You bristle at the intrusion. "That is none of your business, Professor."

Her smile turns icy. "Improprieties at the school are indeed my business, Miss Y/L/N. It is my duty to ensure that Hogwarts maintains the highest standards of conduct."

She flips through her notes, eyes scanning for more ammunition. "Now, what about your relationship with Lucius Malfoy?"

Your irritation spikes, but you maintain your composure. "Lucius Malfoy is a family friend. He's known me since I was a child."

Umbridge leans back, tapping her quill against her clipboard thoughtfully. "A family friend, you say? Yet, it seems you have a rather... influential circle for someone so young."

You hold her gaze, refusing to be cowed. "I'm fortunate to have strong connections. But my personal relationships do not interfere with my professional responsibilities."

Umbridge's smile tightens further, her quill poised over her clipboard. "And what is your relationship with the Headmaster? How is it that he created a position just for you?"

You take a deep breath, steadying yourself. "The Headmaster recognizes my capabilities and the contributions I can make to the school. My position was created based on merit and the needs of the faculty."

She arches an eyebrow, her skepticism clear. "Is that so? It seems rather convenient that someone with your... background and connections would be given such a unique opportunity."

You keep your tone firm. "I was chosen for this role because of my skills and dedication. The Headmaster's decision was based on what is best for Hogwarts."

Umbridge's quill pauses in mid-air, her eyes narrowing slightly. "And what is your opinion of the Headmaster, Miss Y/L/N?"

You meet her gaze unflinchingly. "My opinion has no bearing on my professional duties, Professor. I am here to fulfill my role to the best of my abilities, regardless of personal feelings."
