The next day, you are preparing yourself to go out, needing to run a few errands. You go down to tell your father of your plans, knowing you get more freedom the more information you divulge to him. You find him in his study staring out a window as the snow falls on the grounds. The fireplace crackling eerily as you approach. He turns to look at you curiously.

You smile, feeling a bit lighter than usual. "I'm going Christmas shopping and then stopping by to see Lucius."

He raises an eyebrow, his expression thoughtful. "Why are you going to see Lucius?"

You pause, gathering your thoughts. "Because it was him who told Adrian to take me out, and I thought it was nice of him. I wanted to thank him."

Voldemort's lips curl into a small, knowing smile. "It was actually my suggestion to Lucius, and then Lucius told Adrian."

You blink in surprise, not having realized the full extent of the arrangement. "I didn't realize that. Why did you do that?"

He looks at you, his expression softening slightly. "Because you needed to get out of the house. You needed to see that there is more to life than these walls and our plans. It's important for you to have balance and to find moments of happiness."

You feel a rush of gratitude and warmth. "That is very thoughtful of you, Father. I appreciate it."

He nods, his gaze steady. "You are my daughter, Violet. Your well-being matters to me. Just remember, our goals and responsibilities are paramount, but it doesn't mean you should neglect your own happiness."

You smile, feeling a deep sense of connection and understanding. "I won't forget. Thank you, Father."

With that, you finish getting ready and head out for your day. The air is crisp and cool, the festive atmosphere of the season lifting your spirits. You complete your Christmas shopping, finding thoughtful gifts for those you care about, including a special one for Adrian.

As you arrive at Malfoy Manor, you feel a sense of anticipation. Lucius greets you warmly, his demeanor pleasant. "Violet, it's good to see you."

"Good to see you too, Lucius," you reply, smiling. "I wanted to thank you for suggesting to Adrian that he take me out. It was exactly what I needed."

Lucius returns your smile, a hint of curiosity in his eyes. "I'm glad to hear that, Violet. You deserve some happiness."

You glance around to ensure no one is within earshot. "Lucius, can I ask you something and keep it just between us?"

His expression turns serious, and he nods. "Of course. What is it?"

You hesitate for a moment, then gather your courage. "How is Severus doing?"

Lucius sighs, looking thoughtful. "He won't talk about it when I see him, so I'm not entirely sure. He's been very closed off."

You nod, feeling a mix of concern and resignation. "Thank you, Lucius."

He tilts his head, curiosity returning. "Where did Adrian take you?"

A smile spreads across your face as you recall the evening. "He took me to a very intimate session of the muggle musician Leonard Cohen, my favorite."

Lucius's eyebrows raise in surprise. "Your father agreed to let you attend a muggle nightclub?"

You nod, feeling a bit proud of the accomplishment. "Yes, he wasn't thrilled about it, but he could see how special it was to me."

Lucius chuckles softly. "That's quite something, Violet. I'm glad you had a good time."

You smile, feeling a surge of warmth and gratitude. "I have something for you," you say, reaching into your bag and pulling out a small, wrapped gift.
