It's a couple of weeks later, and finding time with Adrian has been challenging due to his busy work schedule. However, he sends you an owl, asking if you can spend the weekend with him.

You meet him at his apartment that evening as he gets off work. He's very happy to see you and carries a small bag of groceries for both of you, along with treats for Mary and Barry, whom you've brought along.

"I'm sorry for being so busy at work," he says, giving you a warm hug.

You smile, though there's a hint of frustration in your voice. "It's fine, but I wouldn't know what busy is. I literally have nothing to do."

Adrian frowns slightly, sensing your underlying discontent. "I didn't realize it was that bad. I wish I could help more."

You shrug, trying to downplay it. "It's not your fault. I just...I feel a bit aimless. Like I don't have a purpose right now."

He sets the groceries down and takes your hands in his. "We'll find something for you to do, something that makes you feel fulfilled. For now, let's make the most of this weekend together."

You nod, feeling a bit better at his words. "Yeah, let's do that."

As you unpack the groceries together, the conversation flows more easily, and the tension begins to dissipate. Adrian's presence is comforting, and you start to feel more at ease.

"What did you get for dinner?" you ask, peeking into the bags.

"Just some ingredients for a simple pasta dish," he replies. "I thought we could cook together."

Adrian looks at you with a hopeful expression. "You know, if you moved in with me, we would be able to see each other more often."

You pause, feeling a mix of emotions. "I'm not sure if our relationship is ready for that, Adrian. It's a big step."

He nods, but you can see the disappointment and a hint of jealousy in his eyes. "Have you talked to or seen Severus lately?"

Your heart pangs at the mention of him. "No, I haven't. It's been hard, but I need to focus on moving forward."

Adrian's grip on the bag of groceries tightens slightly. "It's just...he was such a big part of your life, and sometimes I wonder if I'm just a replacement for him."

You reach out, gently touching his cheek. "You're not a replacement, Adrian. I care about you deeply. But I need to take things one step at a time."

He sighs, looking down for a moment before meeting your eyes again. "I understand. It's just hard, you know? I want to be the one you turn to, the one you trust."

"I know you do," you say softly. "And I care about you too. But this is all still so new and complicated for me."

He nods, but the insecurity in his eyes is still there. "Alright. We'll take it slow. Just know that it hurts sometimes, seeing you struggle with your feelings for him."

You take a deep breath, trying to convey your sincerity. "All I can offer you is honesty, Adrian."

He sighs but nods in understanding. "I appreciate that. So, do you want to stay in or go out tonight?"

You tilt your head, considering. "Where would we go if we went out?"

A small smile plays on his lips. "I could take you dancing. Did you bring anything suitable for going out?"

You nod, a hint of a smile tugging at your lips. "I did, actually. I brought a going-out dress just in case."

Adrian's eyes light up with excitement. "Perfect."
