Chapter 30

The next day, Y/N woke up early, her mind still restless from the events of the previous day.

She felt a pang of guilt but tried to shake it off as she got ready to meet Mark.

Just as she was about to leave, she received a call from Emma.

**On the phone:**

**Emma:** "Hey Y/N, Mark is on his way to pick you up."

**Y/N:** "Thanks, Emma. I'll be ready."

**Call ended.**

Y/N waited nervously by the window, glancing at the clock as the minutes ticked by.

Finally, Mark's car pulled up outside. Taking a deep breath, Y/N went outside and got into the car.

Mark smiled at her. "You ready for a fun day?"

Y/N forced a smile. "Yeah, let's go."

They drove to Mark's house, and Y/N tried to keep her nerves in check.

As they walked inside, Mark showed her around, but Y/N couldn't shake the feeling that something was off.

"Make yourself at home," Mark said, leading her to the living room.

Y/N sat down, trying to relax. "So, what do you have planned?"

Mark smirked. "You'll see."

Meanwhile, back in Taehyung's kingdom, Taehyung was growing increasingly worried and tensed .

He hadn't seen Y/N for more than a day, and her absence was gnawing at him.

He decided to search for her, starting with Namjoon.

"Namjoon, have you seen Y/N?" Taehyung asked.

Namjoon shook his head. "She asked me about going back to her world, but I refused without your permission. The last time I saw her, she was with Jisoo."

Taehyung's eyes narrowed. "Jisoo, huh?"

He immediately went to find Jisoo, who was sitting in the garden, looking suspiciously pleased with herself.

"Jisoo," Taehyung called out, his tone icy. "Where is Y/N?"

Jisoo feigned innocence. "I don't know, my lord. The last time I saw her, she was heading to the kitchen."

Taehyung didn't buy her act. He clenched his fists, his worry turning into anger. "If I find out you had anything to do with her disappearance, you'll regret it."

Jisoo merely smiled. "I have no idea what you're talking about, Taehyung."

Back in the human world, Y/N felt increasingly uncomfortable.

She missed Taehyung and the kingdom. The regret of leaving the portal and staying was eating at her.

Mark's behavior was growing stranger. "Y/N, let's go upstairs," he said, his tone leaving no room for argument.

Y/N hesitated. "Why?"

"Just come," he insisted.

Y/N followed him reluctantly. When they reached his room, Mark locked the door behind them, making her feel trapped.

"You know, you've been acting different since you came back," Mark said, his eyes dark and intense.

Y/N tried to keep calm. "I... I've just had a lot on my mind."
