The men behind Charli all collectively shared glances. There was a Legend before them-the Legend who was the death of all good things-The Legend who who wed the girl with the curse of For Evigt Doende.

They knew that girl should be me and in no way would I be Charleon's bride. But, nonetheless they lowered their swords.

"My wife." Leo's low voice was smooth and calm.
I saw Charli grind his jaw, his eyes housing an intense glare. Leo tilted his head as if to say 'How bold of you to look at me that way.' I squeezed his hand and shook my head. "Y/n, don't tell me it's true?" Charli's expression was pleading but I knew not to answer.

He was just one man of The Guild and the others clearly harbored resentment for me given the way they collectively stared at me with disgust. If I tell them I am not truly married to Leo, they may just have my head.
"We wish to come inside." Leo stated nonchalantly. Charleon lowered his gaze, clearly hesitant to do so. "You want to let me in, don't you?" Leo said and all of the guards behind Charleon stepped aside.

They parted instantly like a sea and Leo grinned with pleasure before stepping forward. Charlie hadn't moved, though, but I couldn't tell if Leo cared. Maybe he intentionally commanded everyone but Charlie just to prove a point.

For a legendary entity, he sure was a petty thing.

"Charli," I spoke and his gaze softened instantly, "I must discuss something with you inside." And he nodded and led us in instantly. I didn't bother looking up at Leo. I didn't want him thinking that I did that for him-I did that because I desperately needed to see Charli-but maybe that much was obvious.

The copious gears around the entrance door ground in a long, ear-searing motion until it was shut entirely. The sound of the slamming door echoed throughout the large marble hall. I had been here before in my vision.

"Surely we don't need all of these guards." Leo said, opening his mouth once more to give them all a command, but Charli raised his hand and dismissed them before he could.

I turned to Leo, my eyes pleading with his. He blinked for a second with what I assumed was annoyance before releasing me.

I ran to Charli and leapt at him. He enveloped me in a warm, longing hug. It felt as if I was the only one he ever wanted to hold and the only one he'll hold forever-never letting go.

"I can't believe you did it!" He smiled a painful yet loving smile. "I can't believe you woke up!" I laughed and buried my head in his neck. "I'm so happy you're alive." I said in a wistful tone.

"Of course I am." He gently pushed me forward by my shoulders so I would meet his eyes. "I promised I would be." And I smiled and I wanted to cry as I watched the tears slide down his face. I gently lifted my hand and wiped them, not because I was compelled to do so like I had been with Dierdre, but because I wanted to-and I needed to be there for him. "How did you get here? When did this all happen?" I asked and he smiled a wide, beautiful smile.

"I founded this place." His expression was proud and his tone was accomplished. "It's only fifty years old, but it's been doing great-for the good of the people. I did this for you. So, when you came back to me you would have a place to stay-a place that helps people in suffering just like you had been." And he leaned his forehead to meet mine, but suddenly Leo was next to me.

"Charleon, was it?" He asked and I felt a shiver course through Charli's strong hands. He looked up and met Leo's galaxies with a look of disdain. "Don't look at me like that." Charli's eyes shot down. But, it didn't seem like Leo was manipulating him. For Leo to do that he would have to convince him with a lie. It was clear that Charli was scared-frightened by the overpowering Legend before him.
