"Hm." Snape hummed, trying to look unimpressed when George and Y/n handed in their potion and essay.

Y/n could see past it though because of the way his eyes scanned the paper curiously. He was actually interested in what they had written and made. Y/n had also been right that everyone else in their class had stuck to simpler potions at their grade level. Snape leaned down and smelled their potion before analyzing its consistency.

"5 points off Ravenclaw and Gryffindor for trying so hard." He said in his usual boring voice.

Y/n was appalled, but he handed them their paper back before she could say anything. The grade listed at the top was incredible. It was the best grade she had ever gotten in a potions class before and seemingly the top grade from that assignment in the class.

"Thank you, Professor Snape." Y/n smiled confidently as she and George subtly high fived on their way back to their seats.

"I told you we could do it!" Y/n whispered to George with a smile brighter than the mysteriously glowing potion on the table next to them.

"I can't wait to write to Mum! I think I've scored higher on this than Percy did." George laughed as he imagined his older brother's face when he told him.

"You should send her the essay, let her see the grade for herself." Y/n suggested. "Oh and tell her I say hello."

"If she didn't love you before, she'll certainly love you when she sees your name signed on the bottom of this." George chuckled lightly and Y/n rolled her eyes.

The rest of her classes were going remarkably well and so were Hermione's. Hermione had been so proud and interested in Y/n's successful potions project that Y/n gave her a copy of the essay they had written on it.

As the year progressed, Y/n's visions and drawings only got worse and more frequent. The most recent one of a lifeless figure nearly brought her to tears. She tried hard to shrug it off hoping the troll drawing from last year was just a coincidence. Instead, she tried to focus on the time of year that was rapidly approaching, Halloween.

Y/n would usually be excited for the holiday, but this year Halloween had bigger stakes than ever before. You see, there was a huge halloween party held for all houses and everyone who was a fourth year and older was invited. Y/n had been frantically planning costumes and sketching outfits since word of the party reached them in September.

"What are we going to do for our halloween costume this year? Wizard of oz? No, no that's too on the nose..." Y/n muttered talking more to herself than her friends at this point.

Y/n's excitement over Halloween and costumes meant Lucy, Cedric, and Dina all had to suffer from her constant planning.

"Y/n-" Dina tried to interrupt.
