Y/n Cordelia Granger was born in August of 1978 to Mr. William Granger and Mrs. Jean Granger.

She cried ferociously when she took her first breath as if she knew the troubles that would lay ahead of her. Even so, Jean was flooded with relief that she was breathing and that the excruciating labor was over.

"It's a healthy baby girl." The nurse stated as he handed her their newborn child.

Jean smiled sleepily as she felt her skin touch their child's and a love for them deeper and more enduring than anything she previously knew spark within her. From the moment that Jean looked into her eyes she knew there was something indescribably special about her.

"What should we call her?" Her husband, William, asked with stars in his eyes as he gazed down upon his daughter.

Something within her heart had called for her to name her daughter after the kind, loyal, devoted, beautiful, and virtuous character written by her most treasured story teller, Shakespeare.

"Y/n..." Jean whispered. "Y/n Cordelia Granger."

When she said her name, Y/n's crying slowed and a beautiful toothless smile replaced the frown that had previously been there. Mr. and Mrs. Granger thought it was magic.

13 short months later in September of 1979, Jean and William Granger had their second child. They named her Hermione Jean Granger after her mother and Jean's other favorite Shakespeare character.

Since the day Hermione was born, she and her sister, y/n, became inseparable. Y/n despite only being two years old knew the second Hermione was born that she had met her forever best friend.

From that moment on, the granger sisters were an unstoppable duo. As they grew up they never grew apart, each becoming more beautiful, kind, and intelligent in different ways.

Hermione had an insatiable yearning to know about everything while Y/n had a sparkling passion to know every detail about only the subjects that did interest her. Hermione's beauty shone through especially in her face and smile while Y/n's beauty shone through especially in her wardrobe and style. Their hyper fixation with fashion and their adoration for flair.

They had become two different yet equally enchanting sides of the same coin.

One warm August day, Y/n was giving Hermione a piggy back ride back to their house a couple days after their 11th birthday. She sped up a little at the end just to hear her delighted laugh. As they reached the door, Y/n brought them safely to their feet before readjusting the flower crown they had made for Hermione.

"Can't we stay out a little longer, Delia?" Hermione pouted.

"We have to wash up for dinner. Now wipe that frown off your face, I know you're just as hungry as me and we can play more tomorrow." Y/n laughed.

They opened the door expecting the entrance room to be empty and their parents to be in the kitchen only to be met with a stranger.

There was an older woman with grey hair and a wrinkled but kind face. Her hair was pulled back neatly into a bun without a strand out of place. Her mouth was pressed into a tight line though a smile hid in her eyes. She was wearing formal yet simple clothes, a beautiful modest black dress with a long dark green robe like cardigan wrapped around her.

"Ah, there you are Y/n!" Their mom smiled tensely.

"It's nice to meet you, Miss Y/n Granger. My name is Minerva McGonagall and I am a professor from Hogwarts school of Witchcraft and Wizardry." The lady smiled kindly reaching out to shake their hand.

"You're a professor from where?" Y/n asked aghast.

The woman chuckled lightly, amused by the young woman's reaction.
