"Malfoy is the most insufferable student in Hogwarts." Harry huffed with a face that screamed of the irritation he was feeling as Ron who was on his left nodded furiously in agreement.
Y/n who had just walked into the Gryffindor common room after greeting Portia (Y/n still detested that other people referred to her as the fat lady and that she was the only person who'd bothered to ask her name) exchanged a knowing look with Ginny.
Harry Potter had a bit of an obsession with Draco Malfoy and vice versa. He had once even referred to the boy as his arch enemy as if Voldemort wasn't actively trying to kill him every year.
"You and that Malfoy boy..." Y/n mumbles, her tone faintly sounding like one of amusement.
"He really is a pompous boy, Delia." Hermione agreed with her two best friends from where she sat on the right side of Harry.
Both boys nearly jumped out of their skin when Hermione spoke and their heads whipped to the right where she sat. Their mouths were slightly agape and they looked utterly shocked to see Hermione sitting next to them.
"When did you get here-?" Ron asked in a squeaky voice.
"Honestly Ronald, I've been here the whole time." Hermione sighed with a drawn out eye roll, but the slight shift in her eyes suggested otherwise.
Y/n just shook her head in amusement though in the back of her mind she noted the way her younger sister had shifted her eyes for one second. It was a subtle sign of a lie, not a bold faced lie, but a white lie. Y/n couldn't figure out what for the life of her she would be lying about though as she had seen Hermione there the whole time.
"What did the git do this time?" Y/n laughed lightly as she sat down next to her sister on the sofa in front of the fireplace, changing the conversation back to the subject of Draco Malfoy.
It was at that exact moment, when Y/n's laughter filled the air like light music sounding like beautiful notes from a harp that two redheaded twins and a dark skinned boy popped up from behind a corner as if summoned.
They had matching grins on their faces though one of the boys looked particularly enthusiastic. The constellations of freckles on his face were scrunched up with the force of his bright smile. His brown eyes were glistening with an emotion Y/n couldn't quite put her delicate finger on. What she could put her finger on however was the look on the faces of the two boys next to him.
Fred and Lee were also beaming from ear to ear, like always. Those three boys could hardly be seen without grins on their faces though theirs held a more teasing air to them. They had knowing looks in their eyes that immediately landed on Y/n much like George's did.
George's eyes always seemed to do that.
George happily plopped down next to her with a small hmph noise as he landed on the nice cushions of the sofa. His arm moved to rest on the back of the sofa coincidentally leaving it to rest not quite, but nearly around Y/n's shoulders.
Her heart fluttered in her chest.
Fred lounged casually across the arm of the sofa and Lee sat with his legs criss cross in front of the sofa.
"To what do we owe the honor of seeing our favorite Ravenclaw today?" George asked with a smirk that looked casual, but was betrayed by the glimmer in his eye.
"She's here to see you of course," Ginny teased in a dry voice with an eye roll making Y/n snicker and George pout dramatically.
She packed a lot of attitude, fire, and sass in her short frame and mere 12 years of existence.
"I was just dropping by to say hullo to everyone, but now it seems I'm about to get the latest scoop on Malfoy." Y/n chuckled, her eyes darting between George and Ginny in amusement.
