Chapter 5 ~ Show Them

Your POV

"Whatever"

I looked up.

"Really???" I asked.

"Tch, just don't get in my way" He said and walked away.

I smiled softly but then something hit me.

'Owari....'

'What about Owari??' I thought.

'What should I do? I'm with dragon hunters and I'm a dragon rider....' I thought.

I shook the idea off my head.

"F/n?"

I turned around and saw Petra.

"We should change your bandages" she said but I shook my head.

"I'm fine" I said.

"Oi"

I turned around again and saw Levi.

"You're going hunting with the other brats, go get your things" he demanded. I nodded my head and ran to my tent and got my arrows.

~Time Skip~

I quietly grabbed a arrow from my quiver and notched it against the bow.

I looked at my target which was a beautiful deer with huge antlers.

Until something bumped me, making me miss. I grunted as I saw the deer gallop away in the forest.

I looked to my side and saw Auruo who gave me a smirk. Beside Auruo was Erd and Gunther who were laughing.

"I don't even know why captain let a dragon rider come with us" Auruo sneered.

I sighed....

'Why did Levi do all those things for me? We were suppose to be enemies yet I'm working beside him...' I thought

'Why the hell did I think we could work together?.... This world is still hell' I thought and looked down.

"Come on dragon rider, it's getting late" Erd said and all of them walked away from me.

"Man we didn't get any thing good to hunt" Gunther said and stretched his arms.

"Yea! If we didn't have to bury that dead dragon and babysit the dragon rider then we could've have a early start of hunting" Auruo said.

I clenched my fists and superseded my anger then pulled down my hood to cover my face.

'Why won't they give me a chance?....' I thought.

'.... I thought I could trust them... but now....'

'But now I realize these dragon hunters are all like the rest' I thought.

We walked back to the camp and found Petra was by a pot, stirring the soup.

Levi was sitting on a log, drinking tea.

"Welcome back! Did you guys hunt anything?" She said happily.

"No" they all boredly reply then Petra looked at me.

I shook my head in silent. Petra looked down in sadness, I walked up to her and pat her head.

Petra perked up again and gave me a bowl of soup. I gladly took it and was going to take a bite of it, until in the corner of my eye I saw Auruo and the others glaring at me.

I set the spoon down and gave it back to Petra.

"I'm not hungry. It was my fault that we didn't get anything to hunt, so I will not eat" I said and walked back to my tent.

Once I was in my tent, I limped back to the bed and checked my wound.

It had reopen and blood was seeping through the bandages. I groaned and press against the wound.

'It probably opened when Auruo bumped into me' I thought.

I refuse to be a burden and let them tend my wounds. The curtain of the tent opened and Levi walked in.

I removed my hand away from my wound and pulled down my hood.

"Tch" he said and had a box in his hands. "Lift up your shirt" he said but I refused.

"Do it now brat" he demands. I sighed in defeat and took off my coat. I lifted up my shirt, showing my stomach.

"Tch, filthy" he muttered and cut off the bandages, replacing it with clean ones.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked.

Levi stayed quiet and finish wrapping my wound.

"Shouldn't you be turning me in?" I said.

"Why did you skip dinner" he changed the subject.

"I don't belong here..." I said quietly.

"Its true" he said bluntly.

"Or you can show them that their wrong" Levi said suddenly.

"Do.. I need to show you too?" I asked.

Levi stood up but stopped at the exit.

"Tch, you already did brat" He said and left the tent.

I laid on my bed and stared at the ceiling.

As night fell, I grabbed my black coat and my bow. I walked back into the forest and went back to the place where I first found that deer.

Few hours have past and I was still tracking down the deer I was hunting down before.

Finally something caught my eye. The deer was grazing on top of a hill. I quietly crept closer in the shadows and grabbed my arrow and aimed it at the deer.

I pulled back the arrow to my ear, ready to let go.

But....

Something knocked me over.....

Something heavy sat on my chest and the bow was knock out of my hands, I tried to reach for it but something growled in my face.

I looked up and saw a pair of eyes looking at me.

"Owari?"
