Chapter 10 ~ Something I Didn't See Before

Third POV

The black dragons chains came off....

Levi just stood still and watched the black dragon shake off its chains and look around.

The black dragon looked down, seeing Levi and the dragon Hunter that trapped it. It's eyes glowed pure red and F/n shuffled uncomfortably as she knew that it was going to let out its flames.

The black dragon stood up high and eyes glowing red. It growled and used its jaws to bite onto the dragon hunter then It glared at Levi.

Levi just stood still and glared it back into the eyes. He threw his sword away and placed his hands in the air, but he continued to glare at it. The black dragon eyes turned back to a blue color and turned its head away, flying in the sky.

'Why didn't it kill me?' Levi thought confusingly.

It turned its head back at the camp and flew straight at it. Its eyes grew red, spitting out fire at the dragon hunters.

Your POV

Just like I had planned Levi had set the black dragon free and the dragon is now going onto a rampage mo the dragon hunters that had caught it.

I jumped off Owari's back and ran to Levi. He was fighting a dragon hunter that was taller than him, when I got there Levi looked like he had it under control.

Levi dodged a punch and grabbed his sword then slain the person.

"Oi" I said. "We need to get out of here before that black dragon comes after us" I said.

"Tch, you're a dragon rider aren't you? Why can't you tame it" Levi said while fighting another person.

"Well this dragon is going on a rampage and spitting out its fire right now! Do you really want me to walk up to it and pretend it'll act nice?!" I exclaimed.

"Pretty much" Levi muttered.

"You're so stupid. Just because they're dragon riders doesn't mean that all dragons want to be paired with a human" I scoffed.

"Tch, you're the stupid one" Levi manage to say back.

I saw two more dragon hunters running at us with bows in their hands. A black shadow casted over them and Owari came out of nowhere, knocking them out.

"Let's go!" I shouted to Levi and ran off, I stopped when I saw Levi was struggling over dominance with a dragon Hunter. I rolled my eyes.

I ran up to the dragon Hunter and kicked him off then Levi finished the job.

"Tch, I didn't need your help" Levi said while we ran side by side.

"You men are so stubborn on your egos" I said and we both ran towards Gunther and the others.

When we got there, Petra and Erd were injured but no serious wounds. I helped up Petra, Gunther helped out Erd and we all ran into forest.

Couple of the dragon hunters were running after us until Owari burn down into ashes and kept attacking the camp grounds.

I wasn't worried about Owari, there were two dragons firing at the camps. The dragon hunters would have a hard time catching both.

We ran and ran until we finally stopped at a waterfall with a pool of crystal clear. I kneeled down, taking a piece of my handkerchief and soaked it into water. I walked back to Petra and placed the wet cloth onto her injuries.

"Won't we get caught?" Auruo panted.

"No, Owari and the other dragon will take care of the rest" I replied.

"Your dragon got larger than last time we saw him" Erd said.

"I thought he abandoned you" Gunther said. I took out my knife and with speed I ran towards Gunther, the knife near his neck.

"Don't you dare think of my dragon that way, he's not a coward" I snapped at him with venom in my voice.

"S-Sorry" he stammered and I put my knife away.

"Just because you all are dragon hunters doesn't mean you know everything about dragons" I said.

"Dragons have feelings like all of us and you guys think that dragons are monsters. My dragons just saved you and you still think of them nothing more than a monster" I said sharply and walked away, leaving them speechless.

I walked to the pool and sat on a large rock, staring at the fishes. I heard footsteps coming behind me.

I turned my head and saw that it was Levi. Levi said nothing and sat next to me.

"I'm sorry I that lashed out" I sighed, breaking the silence.

"Tch, don't be. You know more than the rest of us about your dragons, we were wrong" he said.

"Thanks for understanding" I said and leaned my head on his shoulder.

"Tch, what's wrong?" Levi demanded.

"I'm sorry" I said and coughed out blood, falling to my other side.

"Shit, don't tell me your-" he stopped in the middle of his sentence and took off my cloak. My previous wound from before had opened once again.

"Damn that dragon hunter really hit me deep in my side" I said and blood trickled at the edge of my mouth.

"Tch, lets get you back" Levi said and placed my arm over his shoulder. We walked back to the others and he set me down to the log to sit on.

"Petra, tend her wounds" Levi demanded and Petra ran over me, she ripped a strip of cloth and wrapped it around my torso.

"We need to get her to the village, all of our things are over there" Petra said. "I can only stop the bleeding for now" she said.

My eyes widened.

'Owari...' I thought

"O-Owari?!" I yelled. I looked into the sky and saw a large shadow in the distance. It was Owari, he roared out in pain.

'I'm so sorry Owari, I got you hurt too by my recklessness' I thought and watched him get closer.

He landed meters away from us and landed in the trees, knocking them down flat. I ran towards him, ignoring the pain from my side.

I heard the others yell out my name as I ran off to Owari. When I got there his eyes were closed but he wasn't injured. I sighed and leaned my body on his.

"You got me worried, you idiot" I said and Owari opened his eyes slight and lifted up his head from the ground. He looked up, making me curious I followed his direction and saw a black figure coming closer to us.

It landed to where Levi and the others were.

'Don't tell me it's the other dragon?!' I thought. I climbed onto Owari's back and we flew into the air, we landed to where Levi and the others were.

My eyes widened....

I saw the black dragon...

And Levi was standing in front of it, his hand was touching it's muzzle....

Something caught my eye, something I didn't see before.

On Levi's arm was a tattoo of a dragon....

"You're a dragon rider...."
