Chapter 16 ~ My Secret

Your POV

We rode away from the forest which was on fire and I kept sobbing. I hugged Levi's torso and nuzzled my head into his chest.

Tiredness washed over me and I fell asleep into Levi's arms.

~Time Skip~

Something stood in the distance.....

"Jiyū?" I called out.

Jiyū turned to me but suddenly fell down and a pool of blood surrounded him.

Behind him was the man that killed Jiyū.....

His back was turned to me and he started walking away.

"This can't be happening" I covered my mouth and try to run to Jiyū but he suddenly vanished.

Suddenly....

Owari laid helpless in front of me.

"NO!" I shouted but and reach out my hand for him but he was too far.

Suddenly.....

The man appeared again. The same man that killed Jiyū....

He raised his sword high, aiming for Owari's heart.

"STOP IT!!"

Blood seeped into the ground with a pure red staining. The man vanished and I ran to Owari, hugging his head.

Tear drops fell on his head and rolled down from his face....

It looked like he was crying too....

"You... You can't leave me alone again" I sobbed.

"I need you here to be with me..... I can't do this without"

~THUD~

My eye forced open and I saw Levi with a big red mark on his forehead. I winced as I felt a pain from my forehead also.

"Sorry..." I said and stood up, walking away.

It's been one week since I'd saw Owari. I haven't been able to focus on anything.

During the week I've been having the same dream again every night. I've been also depressed, I couldn't call myself a dragon trainer if I didn't and couldn't protect my dragons.

"Oi!"

I turned my head around and saw Levi running at me, he quickly grabbed my arm and pulled me into a hug.

"What the fuck were you thinking?!" He scowled.

"What are you talking about?" I frowned at him.

"What do you mean?! You were about to fall off the cliff! Did you not see it?!" Levi said.

I turned my head and saw where I was standing.... It was by a dead end of a cliff.

"I'm sorry..." I said and looked down. "I guess I was thinking so much I forgot what I was doing" I said.

Levi sighed and let go of the hug.

"Owari saved you because he wanted you to live, you should do what he wants so both of you can be happy" Levi said and placed his hand on my head.

My heart fluttered as Levi's actions were out of his character.

"Come on" he said and ruffled my hair a bit. I quietly walked after him.

"Where are we going?" I asked. Levi whistled and Ai appeared, landing beside him.

"We're going for a ride" he said and I stopped walking...

"I can't...." I said softly and turned away, walking away.

"Oi!" He yelled but I ignored him.

'I can't do it... Not without Owari....' I thought.

My body was suddenly lifted to the ground. I looked up and saw Ai was carrying me into the air by grabbing both of my arms.

"L-Levi!? What are you doing? Put me down!" I yelled.

"You forgot what it's like to fly" he said boredly and grabbed my hand, pulling me up.

I immediately shut my eyes and hugged him tightly.

"Put me down!" I shouted.

"No" Levi said back.

"Please!" I shouted again and pressed my face deeper into his back.

"Please..... I-I can't..." I said softly and began crying. Levi hitched as he heard me cry, he leaned in Ai's ear and whispered something.

I felt the wind as we lowered back to the ground and landed. Once we landed I the ground I jump off, facing my back to Levi.

I quietly wipe my tears and walk away. I walk back into the cave and lay on the ground, going into a deep sleep.

I wake up as I felt my body jostling. I open my eyes and saw Levi.

"Come eat" he demands and walks away. I followed him and saw that there was a fire and a hunk of meat roasting over it.

We are our dinner silently without looking at each other or talking to each other.

"I'm going to sleep" I said softly and stood up, going back to my bed.

As night fell...

I stared at the cave ceiling the sound of Ai and Levi's breathing were soft but hearable. I quietly stood up and walked out of the cave.

I walked to the cliff and looked down.

'That's a long fall....' I thought and kicked a pebble, watching fall.

I sighed and sat down, dangling my legs. I looked up and saw moon.

'I wonder if Owari is looking at the same moon right now?'

I looked at my arm, the dragon tattoo still intact.

Owari was still alive.

He's out there somewhere probably on the edge of death.

'Please wait and hang on for me....'

I lifted up my legs so that I could hug my knees. Tears quietly streamed out as I mentally lectured to myself.

"You're going to get a cold"

I looked up but was only to be met with a blanket on my face. I took off the blanket and saw Levi was sitting next to me.

"Thanks" I said and wrapped myself with the blanket.

Silence passed for a few minutes.

"Why" Levi said, breaking the silence.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Why are you so scared? You cried when I tried to do something nice for once" he said, looking at the sky.

I said nothing but leaned my head on his shoulder.

"You probably going to think its stupid when I tell you" I said.

"Just tell me" he demanded.

I sighed.

'I guess I can't keep it as a secret anymore'
