Your POV

My nose twitched and I slowly opened my eyes. I saw Levi leaning over a fire, pointing at it with a stick.

"Tch, about time you woke up" he mumbled.

"Good morning to you too" I rubbed my eyes and saw that he was cooking.

"Where's your dragon?" I asked.

"There" he pointed to the entrance of the cave and the black dragon came crashing in.

"Have you figured out a name?" I asked.

"Ai" he bluntly replied. "And it's a she" he said.

"That's a nice name for her" I said and looked Ai, she had large black wings and gray, black scales.

I walked around her, observing her. Her back was small that it could probably fit about two people at a time. I placed my hand on her neck, seeing if she would reject my touch but she didn't do anything.

I took it as a sign and looked at her scales. I gently glide my hand over her scales then looked under her wings.

'I think she might be about forty or thirty years old?' I thought.

She was small for her age but there were tear and holes in her wings, showing that she's been in fights.

I chuckled as she reminded me of Levi. They were both short for their age but fierce in battle.

"Oi, keep your hands off my dragon and eat your food" Levi demanded. I chuckled and sat down, I looked and saw that a huge chunk of meat was roasting over the fire.

"Is this the doe that was laying next to Owari?" I asked.

"Yea, it was stinking the cave" Levi said. I shrugged and thanked him for the food and started eating.

"Oi what the hell are we doing?" Levi demanded. I placed my hands on my hip and looked at him.

"I'm teaching you how to be a dragon rider and help you with your dragon" I said firmly. Levi gave me a 'Tch' and rolled his eyes.

"First things first, have you ever rode a dragon?" I asked.

"No what the hell kind of question is that?" Levi complained and I smirked evily.

"Good" I said and whistled a tune, Owari bursted out of the waterfall and landed next to me. I climbed on his back and pulled my hood over my head.

"Get on" I said.

"No" Levi said back, I sighed and clicked my tongue. I leaned over to Owari's ear and whispered.

Owari made a toothy grin and flew into the air, he came back down and grabbed Levi in his talons. He carefully grabbed both of Levi's arms with both of front arms.

"Oi! Brat! Put me down!" He demanded. We slowly lifted higher into the air.

"Do you prefer to ride on the back or be carried?!" I yelled down.

"Just put me on the damn back!" He yelled back. I smiled and reached my hand out for him.

"You're kidding" he said and glared at me.

"Trust me, I got you" I smiled at him. Levi sighed, taking my hand and I hoisted him up onto Owari's back.

"Tch, why are am up here?" Levi asked.

"I want to show you something" I smiled. Once I said that Owari flew higher and higher.

We went through layers of clouds and passed the clouds was the sun in the distance. I looked behind me and saw Levi with a breathless face. His gray eyes scanned the sky while his pupils expanded.

My face heat up as I realized I was staring at him too long. I turned my head away, holding on Owari's body since he had no saddle.

"Let's go back Owari. Ai is probably freaking o-"

Before I could finish my sentence, Ai pops out of no where and follows behind us.

"Wow your dragon is really protective over you" I said to Levi who wrapped his arm around my torso.

"O-Owari! Take us back down!" I yelled, the heat on my face was rising.

Owari quickly flew down, landing next to the waterfall. Ai followed behind us, landing infront of Owari.

"Levi, are you comfortable with Ai?" I asked.

"What do you mean?" He said as he slid his body off of Owari.

"I mean are you comfortable petting her? Touching her scales?" I asked.

"Tch, I guess if she's clean" he said.

"Ok good, now let's go back to the village" I said and walked up to Owari.

"Hey I'll be back, stay hidden until I call you" I said, Owari nodded and flew into the waterfall into the cave.

"Tell your dragon to hide" I said to Levi. He nodded and walked up to his dragon.

"Oi, brat! Go hide until I come back" Levi demanded. Ai nuzzled her head on his chest then flew into the waterfall also.

"Not bad" I smirked.

We walked to the village, buying horse saddles and carrying them back into the forest.

I sat down on a rock, breathing heavily.

"Tch, what's wrong?" He said.

"I'm just tired" I panted.

"Tch" he rolled his eyes and took my saddle, placing it on his other shoulder. "Hurry up" he said, walking ahead of me.

"H-Hey! W-Wait a minute!" I yelled and ran after him.

"Tch, you're taking too long" He said, not looking at me. A blush crept on my face and I looked down, smiling softly.

"What are you smiling about brat?" He glared at me. I laughed a bit and looked at him.

"You act cold but you're very sweet" I said, Levi didn't reply and walked faster away from me.

"E-Eh?! W-Wait up!" I yelled running after him once again. We walked back to the waterfall, I whistled a tune and Owari appeared beside me.

"Call your dragon" I said and Levi looked at me confusingly.

"I don't know how to" He said and I scratched my head.

"Oh yea, I forgot" I said. "I'll have to teach you that" I said.

~THUD~

Ai suddenly appeared behind Levi.

"Well now you don't have to go search for her" I shrugged.

"Now why did we buy horse saddles and bring them in the middle of the forest?" He demanded.

I walked over to Owari and broke off some parts of the saddle, placing it over Owari. I climbed onto him and tied some reins onto his horns.

"Brat, you didn't answer my question" Levi said coldly and glared at me.

"I'm going to teach you how to fly"
