Chapter 1

*3 months later*

Ben's POV

As I walked up the pathway to the doors of the clinic, many things crossed my mind. Alison, Ryan, Tricia, and everyone else that had crossed my path in the past few months.

Walking into the clinic felt weird. I hadn't been here once in the three months Alison had. When she told me she was going to rehab, she told me she didn't want to see me while she was here. She didn't want to see anyone. She just wanted three months to herself.

Today was the day I finally saw her again. The day that she came home. To a whole new life.

"Hello, how can I help you?" The nurse at the front desk asked me when I had walked up.

"Hi. I'm here to pick up Alison Haggerty." I replied.

"One second, I'll go get her." The nurse said with a smile.

"Thank you." I said as I took a seat in the waiting area.

Soon, a familiar face came into view. I stood from my seat before walking towards her. She jogged towards me and threw herself into my arms as I held her close. It had been to long.

"God Alison. It is so great to have you back." I said as I held her at arms length.

"It's great to be back Ben." She replied with a smile.

But it wasn't her normal smile. It wasn't Alison's smile.

"Everything alright?" I questioned.

"I just want to get out of here Ben." She said.

"Right. Just let me sign you out and we can go." I replied.

I signed the necassary papers before turning and putting an arm over Alison's shoulders, leading her outside and to my car.

"All of my stuff is at your place now I'm assuming?" She questioned as I started the car.

"Yeah. Bailey too." I answered, feeling bad for what she may not know yet.

"How's Ryan?" She asked softly.

"He's doing alright. He's actually out of town for a few days." I replied.

"With this Shay girl I presume." She said.

"So you know about Shay?" I asked.

"It was all over last months magazines. How could I not." She replied as she turned to look out the window.

"You know he still cares about you." I said.

"If he really cared, he would've waited." She said, "Did you bring my phone?"

"Glove box." I replied.

"Thanks." She said as she took it out and turned it on.

"Will you at least talk to him when he gets back?" I asked.

"I'll talk to him if he makes the first move. Otherwise, I'm going to let him live his life with his new girl." She replied.

"She's not half as amazing or as beautiful as you." I said with a smile.

"Thanks bro." She said as she smiled back.

"Anything for you sis." I replied.

Soon we were pulling up outside of my place, only to be surrounded by papz. Apparently word had gotten out that Alison was coming home today.
