AN: Oh my, I am so sorry guys. I was supposed to update yesterday and if you knew how awful I felt then you'd understand. I had an emotional breakdown last night and this morning I pulled it together and I'm so sorry it's taken me two days, but here is Chapter 21 :) I really hope you guys like it, and thank you all so much for reading because you seriously have no idea how much it means. I love you guys, thank you.
Mike’s POV
When Ed and I got back to his flat, it was around 11:15 and I was getting tired. Between the jetlag and busking for a bit today, I was shattered. As I walked into the living room and sat on the sofa, Ed walked into the kitchen and grabbed two beers out of the fridge.
He came into the living room, handing me one before getting right into what was on his mind.
“You like her, don’t you?” He asked.
“What?” I asked.
“Alison, you like Alison.” He said.
“We are just good friends is all.” I answered as I opened my beer and took a sip.
“You’re good friends, but you like her.” He said.
“So what if I do?” I asked, “She is obviously with Ryan.”
“And you’re just going to accept that?” Ed asked.
“Yeah, we are friends and I don’t want to mess that up.” I answered.
“Alright mate.” He said as he patted my shoulder twice before standing up, “I’m off to bed. Night.”
“Good night Ed.” I replied as he walked back the hall.
I finished my beer before setting the bottle on the table and spreading out on the sofa. I was about to fall asleep when my phone went off signaling that I had a text.
From Alison: Thank you for today Mike. I had a great time and we definitely need to meet up again soon. Xx
To Alison: I had a great time too, and we do need to meet up again, just let me know when you’re free. Goodnight love xx
From Alison: Goodnight Mike xx
And with that, I sat my phone on the table and relaxed on the sofa, falling into deep slumber thinking about the next time I would see Alison.
Alison’s POV
I woke up the next morning to find Ryan’s side of the bed empty and the hotel room completely quiet. I rolled over and grabbed my phone to find a post it note stuck to the screen. It read:
‘Ali,
Ben and I had more interviews to do this morning and I didn’t want to wake you. We won’t be back until late again, I’m sorry. Maybe you could call Mike and Ed again? I left my card for you in case you wanted to go shopping. Tomorrow we have the entire day off until the gig at 8 pm, so we will do something tomorrow, I promise.
